Chapter 59: Break Up

The long awaited decision is here. A decision that will spark something within Asami.

"Your cooking is like sex, Sarina-chan. No matter how many times I try it, I will never get tired of it."

"How disgusting. Will you just eat, Brother?"

"There's...a better metaphor you can use, Ran-kun. But you're welcome."

It is seven in the evening and Sarina is serving dinner to the siblings in their shared mansion. They asked her not to work that afternoon and spent it nicely talking about what transpired in the weeks that they had not seen one another. It was a short, meaningful and wholesome afternoon for the three to do some catching up. She told them how and what happened that led to her event this morning. Of course, the brothers expressed how happy and proud they are in their own ways.

Meanwhile, the brothers told them of their little escapade in Europe—how they jumped from Istanbul to Marbella City to Madrid to Greece. Given that she knows everything about them, they never let a single detail slip. Including the fact that a certain brunette poisoned the enemy's top boss, how they fought enemies, 'became a team' and how they won Bonten's war. As expected, the weird woman commended them and even asked how it is that they managed to live and escape death, which the eldest Haitani answered with 'demigod privileges.' She just laughed and expressed how glad she is that they all saved Yukino.

The men also asked for her father's health status, which she gladly replied with positivity, making them glad as well. Who would have thought that there would come a day that the ruthless Roppongi rulers would be concerned of another's welfare beside each other? That they would meet someone they don't just consider as their pet or their bitch or both, but a friend. Perhaps, it is one of Sarina Samidori's privileges.

"By the way..."

"Between the two of you, who killed Mio Namiya-kun?"

Out of the blue.

Just as the air was so light and fuzzy for the brothers who just came back from their long trip, she had to blurt that out of the blue. They were both literally shocked that Ran spat out his wine while Rindou choked on his food. The two started coughing at the same time.

"What happened to 'Can I ask you two a question and tell me honestly', Sarina-chan?" The woman only made a meh face while munching on her food.

"Let's not take detours." The two once again glanced at one another before swallowing. To their surprise, even the start of their confession collided.

"I beat him up because I was annoyed with him." / "I broke all his fingers and his dick as a warning."

As they confessed at the same time, a pair of green orbs exchanged looks with both men. It's a wonder, though, how the two understood one another.

"You did what, Rindou?!" / "You killed him, Brother?!"

Both their purple eyes widened as they once again understood what each other said. And again, at the same time, they turned to Sarina who had a shocked expression.
