The faint sound of the chirping of the birds started to awaken a certain black-haired as she slowly fluttered her eyes. It was still dark, but she knows that the sun is on its way to awaken everybody else. She took her seat and stretched out her arms only to realize that...her only cover is the sheets on her bed.
Upon perceiving a faint smell of breakfast from outside, she was quick to put her clothes on that were neatly folded at the side and walked out. She was welcomed by a sight of a black-haired man with his back turned while busy with cooking. She smiled before sneaking behind him and hugged him around the waist.
"Wha—I almost burned my hand. Why did you sneak up on me like that?" She snuggled on his back first before looking up.
"Sorry. Good morning, Lucas."
She doesn't know whether the heat from the pan got to the man because the way his face reddened, she knew that maybe it did. He averted his eyes away, flustered.
"G-Good morning, Dame. Please take your seat. I prepared you breakfast." She giggled before walking towards the table. A few seconds and the man started serving food in front of her like a little princess that she is. All throughout, she only stared him.
"W-What is it?" The male stuttered while reaching for his nape which is as red as his cheeks and ears. She shook her head and giggled.
"Nothing. Is there something wrong with looking at you?" She asks as she took a sip of the Matcha tea while gazing at him straight in the eyes. His face further beamed before taking his seat beside her. Yes. You're killing me with those eyes, Sarina Samidori. You're making me want to eat you up.
Lucas tried to avoid her greens and started eating. But no matter what he did, he just couldn't forget what happened. He's dying inside to ask her about last night. Or how she feels. Or if she regrets any of it. Because he...doesn't.
"About last night, Dame." / "Last night was..."
The two looked at each other. And he could have sworn his face heated so much that he just wanted to bury himself in his palm.
Which he did. But on the table instead, refusing to look at her.
"I'm sorry for laying a hand on you, Dame!" At that point, he was only facing the table. His face felt so hot. His throat felt like on fire. He couldn't utter the next words. "You can fire me or send me away, I don't care. Just let me be of use in the upcoming fight with Centro, first."
Suddenly, he heard giggling. What she replied flustered his face more. "You're too serious, Lucas. What's gotten into you? You're more bold last night."
"T-That's because..." He once again lowered his gaze and blushed even more. That's because you're too beautiful last night I couldn't stop myself. What she said next made him raise his gaze to see a kind smile from her.
"I don't mind, Lucas. What we did was something I didn't regret. Do you—"
"No! I actually liked it!" She got quite flustered that he cut her off like that only to blush again. Fuck. Did I just say that out loud?! She started laughing. And he could have sworn he heard music.
"Feeling is mutual. I also liked it." Seeing her smile, his cheeks flared up some more. Damn it. You're seriously so unfair. To her surprise, the man suddenly gazed down.
"You...should stop this if you plan to go back to Rindou Haitani, Sarina." Her smile slowly disappeared. "I won't mind. And I won't stop you. If being with him is your happiness, I would be glad to let you go. I'll be okay with anyone as long he protects you with his life. Because it's what you deserve."
