"I'll get going now, Rin-sama." She took another step away only to be stopped once again in the wrist.

"I don't think you can go home alone. Let me t—"

"No. I can leave on my own." Then, she bolted away.

Meanwhile, the man is left looking at his palm, wondering about one thing.

Reminded of the earlier events, he bolted back inside the entrance and stormed closer to his brother who is now quietly seated on the sofa. Both Himitsu and Asami are upstairs but he didn't care. He didn't hesitate to grab his older brother's collar before giving him a piece of his mind.

"What the fuck was that, Brother? Did you really just use her to get your bitch's attention?"

A pair of angered purple eyes met a pair of indifferent same colored orbs.

"Stop acting like you weren't the same, Rindou." Spat Ran before removing his little sibling's hand away from him.

"Didn't we both use her for our own selfish reasons?" As the eldest exclaimed that, the youngest couldn't retaliate.

"We're the same, little brother. If I'm a piece of trash for using her, so are you." With that, Rindou is left while his brother dashed towards his room upstairs who then is followed by his fling.

Truth be told, the youngest Haitani heard everything. After all, he was on the second floor at the time Sarina arrived. He was there listening to everything as his brother and the black-haired convened. He didn't interfere. Or rather, he couldn't. Most especially when the woman started crying. He just couldn't move nor speak, just like his brother.

Or maybe, the brothers don't know how they will handle her feelings. They both don't know how they will react. Just like Ran, Rindou also doesn't know how to handle Sarina's inferiority complex. They haven't encountered any woman with the same duality as Sarina. A woman who appears cheerful with her jokes and weird antics. But on the inside, she is but a child with crumbling self-image.

It is safe to say that Rindou viewed Sarina as irritating as his brother did in his mind. However, just like his brother, he felt horrible on the inside seeing her fall apart.

"Why are you such a fucking loser, Sarina Samidori?" Exhaled Rindou who then took his seat on the sofa while massaging his temple.

Damn it. How he wants to throw a fit for thinking about her and how she looked like before he left her be. Is it really alright to leave her like that?

Wait. Why is he worrying about her anyway? He only tolerated her stupid and weird personality because he wanted her best friend. He was annoyed with her to the point that he stopped himself many times in killing her. He hated her every joke and sarcastic remarks. He hated her guts for talking back to him many times without any idea of the things he can do. He "hated" her.

"Ah, you're so fucking annoying." Uttered the man again before exhaling loudly. But he really can't erase her expression in his head. And that annoys him. That memory alone makes him curse—his brother and himself.

"Don't mind Sarina. She's going to be fine. Don't worry much about her." He raised his head and met eyes with the woman...he pursued after stepping on her best friend's already torn pride and self-confidence.
