"No...No...No...shit..." A frantic Rindou ran to the brown-haired man whom he didn't expect to see in this place. He removed his coat and put pressure on the man's wound on the side of his stomach...that is slowly pooling blood on his right.
"Calm down, boy. I'm fine." The man says to the panicking purple-haired who just helped him rest his back on the concrete wall.
"I-I-I didn't know...I'm...I'm sorry..." He repeatedly says and finally sees his hands trembling in mixture of emotions—panic, fear, anxiety, GUILT.
In all his life as a Bonten executive, he has never felt guilty for shooting or hurting or killing someone, may it be a woman, a child, or even a grown man like Saburo Samidori. But right now, he is having a panic attack, and he doesn't know what to do.
"Stop apologizing ." The man says weakly and slowly losing more blood every minute.
"It was my fault for not recognizing your voice. Don't blame yourself." As he said that, he started coughing blood, planting more fear in Rindou.
"No...Shit! Shit! Shit!" was all he could say and stand while combing his head hysterically.
"Brother! Brother! Help me! Brother, hurry!" He called out and felt his eyes and heart getting heavy by the minute.
Not knowing what to do about his feelings, he went back to the injured man's side.
"You're going to be fine...you'll be okay...y-you're going to live..." He tries to assure the man...as well as himself. When he knows too well...that his bullet hit a vital organ.
"Rindou, are you here?! I heard you calling for me! Where are y..." A pair of frantic purple eyes turned up to the frantic Ran who had just arrived. But upon seeing the devastating scene, even he couldn't say anything.
More so upon seeing how distressed his younger brother looked at him.
"I...shot him, Brother. B-But it was an accident! I didn't mean to...I...It was my fault..."
Ran also slowly felt weak and remorseful in his heart. He walked closer to the two and he sees the way the dying man slowly and weakly turned to him. And now, seeing Saburo this pale is making him remember how he looked like before his operation.
Who would have known? Who would have expected that this man escaped death from his disease, but not an accident like this?
"Hey there, Pops...it's me, Ran." The eldest Haitani says while kneeling in front of the injured male.
