"Are you sure she will be safe here?"
"Yes. Kirari said that Nameyoki Medical Center has the best Infectious Disease Specialists in the city."
Both Rindou and Ran are frantic while still looking at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) where Sarina was just rushed into. They just came from the venue of the Book Fair that was held for her. But it was least in their expectations that they would be in the hospital right now because she collapsed before she even began.
Given that the brothers have been working in the shadows, they know very well how a person who has been drugged looks like and the woman happens to tick all the physical symptoms that they know. Most especially Ran who held her earlier.
Rindou ordered all their men who went there led by his brother's assistant, Kirari, to do an investigation to find the possible culprit of the writer's critical condition now. Meanwhile, Kawari is here with them to assist. It would be an understatement to say that both the brothers are anxious for Sarina's life right now.
"Stop making those faces, boys." The two turned to the man who has a relaxed face standing behind them. "My Sarina is a strong and brave child. She will be fine. She will get through this." Smiled the woman's father...who somehow relieved the two.
"You're right, Pops. She is. She got it from you." What Ran said made the brown-haired man smile wider.
"That's right. So you two should stop worrying about her. My daughter will wake up and she will come back. She wouldn't just go ahead of me. She has a long life to live." He assured the two again. Perhaps, worry has been too visible on the faces of the brothers.
"Let's believe in her, Ran-kun, Rindou-kun."
"Yes." This time, it was Rindou who answered.
"Sir Ran, Sir Rindou." They all turn to the female assistant of theirs who came running to them. Her boss was the one who walked closer to her, in hopes that what she brings is about what they asked them to investigate.
"What is it, Kawari? Did they found them?" Sadly, the woman shook her head.
"No, Sir. Sir Sanzu has called for an emergency meeting. He wants you to go to the headquarters now."
Rindou couldn't even hide his disbelief and irritation. He starts to walk across the corridors to stop himself from punching anyone.
"What the fuck's that fucker's deal? What does he need from us right now?! Can't he leave us alone?"
"Calm down, Rindou or else Sarina-chan's Pops might hear you." Ran even had to lower down his voice to ease his brother's anxiety. What he reasoned somehow worked because his little brother calmed down a bit.
Ran turned and smiled at Saburo.
"Pops, we're really sorry. One of our colleagues has called for a meeting tonight. Is it alright if we leave you for a while? We promise to come back for Sarina-chan."
