Third Missing Chapter
How did she come to a decision to pretend to be someone she's not?
TRIGGER WARNING: This chapter contains manipulation, mentions about rape and suicide.
The low humming of someone filled the quiet room of Sarina who is now lying on Gisela's lap. It has been days ever since she lost her baby, but everything was still so fresh. The OB made sure that nothing was left inside her womb to make sure that nothing would poison her on the inside. Although to her, she has already been poisoned the moment she trusted the people she shouldn't have. With everything that happened to her, she hopes that things ended when it had to. But no. Fate seems to have other plans for her.
In this dark-filled room, Sarina's humming of Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star, her Pops' lullaby to her when she was still a child, was the only thing that Gisela could hear while she was brushing her lady's hair. Sadness, sympathy, and frustration—those filled the silver-haired's heart. She wishes that she could make this woman forget all the pain and suffering she went through. But she couldn't.
Gisela felt even more remorseful when she saw another teardrop on her lap. It has been this way ever since. Sarina would stay quiet and then cry in silence. It's like she is keeping things inside her and has no plans to unburden her heart to anyone.
It was seconds that she noticed that Sarina has already drifted to sleep. Deep in the gray-eyed, she doesn't know whether to be thankful that her lady fell asleep to ease herself up or not. Because she knows that when she wakes up, all the pain will come flowing again.
-----
It was around three in the morning when Sarina woke up and decided to walk to the kitchen. But as she is about to walk past the opposite corridor where she usually doesn't go, she stopped. Eaten with curiosity, she walked towards what eventually led to a huge door.
The green-eyed isn't the nosy type in other people's houses or someone who likes to snoop. Thus, she doesn't understand why but something is urging her to get inside. Indulging to her instinct, she turned the knob and walked in. When the lights flickered open, she was welcomed by a huge room similar to hers. What caught her attention is the miniature city on a huge table in the middle with small buildings, houses, theaters, and many more.
As she was walking around, she stumbled upon a switch that lit up the miniature urban like an actual city on a bird's view. The sight made her smile. She touched the little people, pets, and trees. It was then that her eyes landed on a cabinet with photos beside the table.
"Wait...Is this me and Aurelia?" She asks upon reaching for a photo with their parents, holding the two of them. The sight tickled Sarina's insides. The rest only contained a girl with the same face as her, but with golden eyes--Aurelia Schreiber. From around five years old to her teens, various photographs were there. What made these individual photos similar was the fact that they all look like they were taken from the mansion. There were no pictures of her from school, park, or anywhere else. Another fact that made the photo similar was that her elder sister always looked serious.
"Elder sister...why do you seem so unhappy?" She asked before putting the photo back to its place. But as she did, something clanked. There was a key.
