Upon walking down the hill early in the morning, a certain pair went to an indoor garden found in the vast property of the Schreiber Family. Unlike the one where Rindou found Giuseppe Schreiber, this here is smaller but with more plants, flowers, and a tall fountain as the center piece of the place.

"That looks nasty." A certain black-haired woman commented after unwrapping the bandages off the man's injured hand. "The wrap also looks wrong."

"Spare me the nagging and get to it so I could leave. Being around you is suffocating."

The man perceived her chuckling before opening her first aid kit. When the two arrived a few minutes ago, she ordered a maid to go get the first aid.

"You really can't make it any more obvious that you hate me."

It's because you're annoying. As annoying as when I first met your little sister. Rindou said in his mind. The woman giggled.

"Not like I could blame you. You probably don't like seeing Selena whenever you see me." He scoffed, hiding his surprise that she knew. Well, he didn't care that people around him are aware of how he feels.

"Hey, Haitani-kun..." That caught his attention. He turned to the woman...whose attention is still on his wound. He found it weird to hear her call him that. Maybe he got used to hearing Sarina's voice call him that girly name. "What was my little sister like?"

And he turned quiet.

"Why are you asking me that?" She didn't look at him. She is just focused in cleaning his wound while holding his hand gently.

"I never got to meet her. I want to know what you loved about her."

He slightly frowned. Is he seriously hearing this again? Didn't he embarrassingly already tell his answer to her grandfather? Thinking hard if he should speak or not, he turned away and let himself get engulfed with the sound of flowing water from the fountain. Suddenly, his mood worsened when he remembered the bitter memory of the last time he talked to Sarina, the night of her death. He remembered the clues she gave him yet he couldn't find her on time.

"Seems like you don't want to talk abo—"

"Tell me the truth. Why didn't you look for Sarina?" This time, he met eyes with her shocked orbs. "Is it really to prevent her from becoming your competition? What if she was willing to let you have all the rights to inherit all of these? Do you really take her for a greedy bitch without even knowing her? I'm telling you now. She's not."

"She was not selfish, not greedy, and definitely not someone who takes away what she thinks that others want. She gives and gives when she can. She isn't someone who will take away something from her own family selfishly. If you had given her a chance, you would have loved her, too, the same way as I do."

The two shared a moment of silence. The woman gazed so deeply at the man without much reaction on her face. She just...stared. And that's when the man finally realized everything he just admitted.

Fuck. Did I just say all of that out loud? Can't I get even more embarrassing?

Suddenly, the woman started laughing and continued what she's doing.

"She sounds like an amazing person. Now I understand why you like her." She comments and he averts his eyes again. Why won't he when she looks so beautiful while smiling widely? Like Sarina.
