A chapter without Sarina and Asami, but something that was concluded a long time ago in another novel. Time to look at the iconic fight between Bonten and Paradiso...but from a different point of view.
TRIGGER WARNING: This chapter contains explicit language, acts of violence, women abuse, body shaming, torture, and death. A viewer discretion is advised.
The early Valentine's Party had begun, and the charismatic Haitani Brothers were tasked to seduce and capture the two remaining girls of the host, Paradiso.
Indeed, the fight has already been decided. But how did Rindou's fight end?
"Seems like brother has started." The younger Haitani says while opening a book in the library, a place he doesn't truly visit. But today, he decided to do so.
"Sorry. I didn't know someone is in here." He turns to the direction of a woman wearing a full black gown with a blank stare in his direction who just spoke English. He silently studied her face, black hair, and dark-colored eyes. Indeed, the woman fits the description of Codicia, another pillar of Paradiso.
"It's fine. I was just about to leave anyway." He said and was about to put back the book he is holding.
"Wait." He halts and inwardly snickers.
"That book you're holding. What is that?" She asks.
"This? It's about the Japanese Urban Legends. Parties bore me so I decided to come here." He says with a blank look and continues to put the book back.
"Well then, I'll see you around, Miss." He says, playing hard-to-get, and was about to leave but...
"Wait...uhm..." His pair of purple irises underneath a red pair turn to the direction of the woman.
"Can you stay and tell me more about these 'Japanese Urban Legends'?" The woman asks with a glint of optimism in her eyes.
"You see I..." She continues and gives the man a flushed expression.
"I like things like that." She added and clasped her hands together. Rindou could only hide his smirk in triumph of their plan.
According to intel, the woman is deeply into reading books about mysteries and supernatural. As part of the plan, he decided to barge into the venue's library and dimmed its lights to get her attention and then play hard-to-get. Since women like disinterested and aloof men. To create an impression, he wore glasses and put on an extra thick foundation to become pale, like that of a dead person. All to get this woman's attention. And boy, was he successful.
"Sure. I would love to tell you about them." was what he last replied to the woman who didn't hesitate to take her seat behind a table that separates the two of them.
"What are these Japanese Urban Legends?" The woman with dark colored eyes asks. Fixing his eyeglasses, the male began to think.
"It's a Japanese folklore that keeps children up at night. They are said to be true."
"These are stories that dates back in the ancient times so no one could really confirm or deny any of it." A criminal as he is, he is still knowledgeable with these things. Just not that much.
