Chapter 90: Secrets

One of the Haitanis shares a secret with "Aurelia Schreiber."

Little did she know that he also shares another secret with someone as well.

The loud panting is being let out by the sprinting Ran Haitani as he never decreased his running going after a certain black-haired woman in the deep, dark forest.  But it's not Aurelia Schreiber but...

"I got you now, Colina Garcia!" ...was what he yelled before strongly tackling the running woman. He used his strength and long arms to detain the woman who is still flailing hard to get away from his grasp. But he's a man, while Codicia is a woman. Of course, he would be stronger.

It was the night that Purgatorio and Bonten attacked the hidden base of the second quadrant. After finding Aurelia Schreiber fighting against this black-haired, he stepped in to provide help. Codicia got away while he and the Purgatorio leader were distracted. Or maybe, not anymore.

"Let me go! Fucking sh—" He already grabbed a pair of handcuffs from his pocket to detain her better and bring her in alive. But... "I have information, Ran Haitani!"

"Don't need it. Say that to Aurelia Schreiber's face." He says and cuffs her. "You're gonna face her wrath for hurting Miss Abel—"

But...he forgot that this woman holds a certain information he never knew he needed. It was something he didn't expect.

"That girl is not Aurelia Schreiber!" 

And that stopped Ran. 

"W...hat...?"

"She's an imposter! Or maybe she's not... But I'm telling you! She's not the real Aurelia Schreiber!"

Frowns slowly appeared on the man's forehead but his grips on the woman's arms are still intact.

"What do you m...Don't you fool me, bitch! Don't try to negotiate with me." Replied the man and was about to drag the woman away but...what she's saying is simply hard to resist. Especially for Ran.

"Believe me, Ran Haitani. I have met the real Aurelia Schreiber. Didn't Vidi and Nura told you that back in Maldives? I know how she looks like! And that woman...that I faced off? She's not the one I met."

Ran, confused and perplexed just looked deep into the woman's obsidian orbs. Then, he took a real breath, thinking. That is when he slowly got reminded of his meeting with the two other Paradiso pillars the woman was talking about. And indeed, Envidiar and Ranura told him...that it was indeed Codicia who had met Sarina Samidori's elder sister, Aurelia Schreiber. 

Does that mean that Codicia...is telling the truth now? 

But he isn't even done processing his thoughts when they heard faint footsteps all over the forest, raising Codicia's anxiety of getting caught and held captive.
