The sound of a cellphone ringing resounded in Rindou's room even when he was still in the bathroom. And so with a frown, he walked towards his bed where his phone is.
"Who is it in the middle of the ni--" But upon seeing a familiar name, he was quick to slide to the favorite color of the caller, green.
"Hello, Four-Ey—" But before he could finish his response, the line died. "What the--What's her problem?! How dare she hung up on me?"
Without thinking twice, he dialed her number again. The purple-haired swore that he was sweating despite being from the shower a few minutes ago. He is that excited to finally talk to her on the phone. It took a few rings before the caller answered.
"Hello...?"
Silence. His lips automatically formed a smile. It's really her. This really is her number that called him. There was silence in the line before she spoke again. But no. He can't be too obvious.
"H-Hello? Is anyone th—"
"Why did you hang up? Do you know what time it is?" He cut her off, making him mutter a silent curse. He wanted to slap himself for sounding so rude.
Now, she won't answer. That made him frown and slightly panic on the inside.
"Hello? You still there? Four-eyes? Are you still there?" He tries to ask consecutively. But she still won't say anything. That made him feel weird on the bad side.
"Are you at home? Wait for me. I'm coming over." He added and went straight to his walk-in closet but was stopped with...
"N-No, wait!" Silence again. He frowned upon hearing her take a few deep breaths. "Uhm..."
Damn it. Why does she sound so cute stuttering on the phone like this?
"What is it?" He asks, a little gentler this time.
"I uhm...Actually..." Again, she couldn't continue her words. Now that just made him impatient. He thought of an excuse to see her.
"You're taking too much time. I'm coming over. Let me go get my car keys."
"No, wait! D-Don't come over. Do you know what time it is?"
"Do you know? It's eleven and you're still awake. Is someone bothering you?"
"N-No. That's not it."
"Wait for me. Don't open the door to just anyone." At that moment, he was quick to remove his towel and started wearing clothes. But as he grabbed his car keys while putting on his shirt...
"Wait, Rin-chan! I just wanted to ask you for a favor."
"A favor?" Asked Rindou again who is now fixing his shirt.
"That's right. I want to make a first volume cover for the physical copies of Insurgent. But I couldn't make one that's...decent enough."
"And? Just say what you want." He says again, now fixing his belt.
What she asked next made him frown. But he nonetheless understood.
"Can I...ask you to be the inspiration...again?"
