The smell of the wintery breeze, the cold halls, the faint sound of classical music playing all over, everything adds to the tension, anticipation, and cold air inside the beautiful Suntory Hall in Minato City, Tokyo. This view is what welcomed the amazed and excited Sarina as she entered.
One of the nation's most well-known classical music performance venues, Suntory Hall is brimming with character and history. More than 15 million visitors have been entertained in Suntory Hall since it opened in 1986, marking 60 years of Suntory Whisky Production. It has famously been called a "jewel box of sound" by the renowned Austrian conductor Herbert von Karajan. With a grand total of 2,006 seats, it is a favorite venue for visiting superstars in the world of classical music, as well as brilliant musicians both greens and seasoned.
In this momentous and historic venue, the most awaited concours of her best friend, Asami Kimura, will be held. Musicians who are all in love with classical music have gathered in this place to either join the musical concours or the competition, or witness young artists showcase their talents in one of the most well-loved fields, in music. Yet again, it wasn't only her who have come to see Asami, but also...
"Now that I think about it. I don't have his number, huh?" She is now in the entrance that leads to the main hall, but she decided to wait for a certain someone.
"I wonder if he's already here." She whispered to herself, pertaining to a certain purple-haired simp.
"You're late." She immediately raised her head and met eyes with a pair of purple ones.
"You're just too excited." She replied to the man who then walked towards her.
"Wow. Plum blossoms. Somebody has come prepared." She added while eying the bouquet of flowers in the man's grasp.
"Of course. I want to wish her good luck on this special day." The man answered with a grin and slightly smelled the Plum Blossoms. She smiled wider with the sight.
Being a writer, Sarina of course reads plenty of books. Even books of flowers. Hence, she cannot help but appreciate the man's sweet gesture to express his good luck and positive boost for her best friend. Plum Blossoms are the emblem of winter and the harbinger of spring. It blooms against the snow, representing well-being, good luck and extended good fortune. At this point, she cannot deny this man's good intentions on Asami.
"Well, I can't wait to see her. Let's move it, Four-eyes."
"You're way too excited, Rin-sama." And with that, the two of them entered the hall.
-
"This is neat." A pair of green eyes once again turned to the man who just commented that while looking at the majestic venue which is slowly being swarmed with people right now. Only a few minutes now and the contest will start.
"Is this your first time going to a musical contest, Rin-sama?"
"Yes." He briefly answered and slightly fixed his orange inner top. The man is wearing a full black suit and an orange turtleneck on the inside, complemented with a gold necklace with a gold sun pendant. He looks a bit different than his usual aura but the black-haired still cannot help but appreciate him.
