It was the day before the Book Fair that Sarina was so quiet from her work at the restaurant. For the past few days, she has been feeling a bit down because of the incident with Asami. The black haired has been calling her best friend everyday since then, but she won't answer any of her calls and text messages.
When Ran got back that night, she looked a bit sad that he decided to give her space even until they got home. He somehow blamed Koko for disturbing them that he couldn't find out about the dark turn of her emotions. Not to mention, dared to interrupt them of their sexy time.
She is also ignoring Rindou's calls to give herself time to think about everything. The last time they talked was when she accused him of being with Asami and intimate with her best friend when he has been continuously flirting with her and dropping mixed signals. She didn't even listen to the man who tried to explain himself. All she knew that night was that she's frustrated with him for trying to play with her feelings when he already got Asami.
Imagine her guilt when she found out that she was wrong. Rindou wasn't the 'organized' mysterious guy who cleaned Asami's place up but Daisuke, Anika's boyfriend. Which by the way, was something she didn't expect that Asami would do to her own sister. Yes, she has been noticing her best friend's meaningful gazes on Daisuke for years, but she didn't expect that a day would come that Asami would actually betray her own sister who loves her so much, just to listen to her own heart.
But who is Sarina to judge and think lowly of her best friend when she herself has been listening to her own heart recently when it comes to...Rindou Haitani.
But who could blame her? When in the first place, the man himself has been extra sweet, thoughtful and romantic with her. It's like his whole air has changed and how he treats her. She isn't stupid enough not to notice all of that. In fact, her insides would tremor with the smallest things that he would do. From when he secretly bought the restaurant where she works at with Nanase, to asking Asami the things she likes, to the day he asked her out, and even when he kissed her.
Everything that Rindou has been doing from Maldives until recently, everything is just urging her to fall deeper and deeper. It's like no matter how she stops herself because she believes that it's wrong to feel this way, she just finds herself seeing more and more of him. To top things off, he admitted to her own best friend that he feels the same way. Sarina couldn't even begin to explain how their first romantic moment felt and the emotions that his every touch gave her. It was so magical that she couldn't even begin to forget any of it.
So, when she remembered everything that Asami told her about her mysterious someone, she felt immense negative emotion towards him for leading her on. And that led her to where she is now. But upon realizing that he wasn't really the person her best friend was talking about, she felt a sense of relief. Like that feeling of a burden leaving her system. But one question still remains...Can she really keep herself feeling this way when she knows that Asami is hurt because she got in between them?
That question haunted her. And that led her to considering her recent events with Ran.
"You're a fucking beguiling double-crossing bitch who is so amazing in being the pitiful, pathetic little whore who made both Ran and Rindou Haitani worship your saintess altar when in reality, you're a coveting devil who wants everything for yourself!"
Those words resounded in her head. Sarina can only sigh.
"Hard truths sure slap hard, huh?" was all she could say to herself sadly.
