Chapter 65: The One

On the day of the eldest of the Haitani Brother's birthday...

The sound of the phone buzzing slowly awakened the usually sleepy Ran Haitani. He lazily reached for his phone on the bedside table.

"Hello?" He practically groaned on the phone. But what answered him is a singing...tone-deaf Sarina.

"Happy Birthday to you~ Happy Birthday to you~ Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday...Happy Birthday, dear Ran~"

He immediately took his seat while stopping himself to laugh out loud. He could have sworn that was the most out of tune greetings he had ever heard in his life but no one is perfect, right?

"Happy Birthday, Ran-kun. The choking crow is here now, wakey-wakey~"

"Yes, I'm awake. Your greetings just woke my whole sanity up."

"Is that right? Must be golden voice haha~ Anyway, I disturbed your good night's sleep because I want to ask you if you want me to come over and cook your breakfast?" He smirked and lay down on the bed once again.

"I would love that, Sarina-chan. Come over here and be my breakfast." As he said that, he hears her a loud thud from her end. This made him frown. "Hey, what was that? Are you okay?"

"Y-Yes. I almost cut my own finger because of your silly jokes." That solicited his laugh.

"Be careful now or I will go over there and finger y--" Once again, he hears something clang from the other line.

"Will your naughty comments stop, Ran-kun?" He snickered just at the thought of her flushed and blushing face because of him.

"Fine, I will stop. But seriously, you don't have to do anything else. Just prepare yourself for me tonight." He tried to imply that with double meaning. And boy how Sarina understood that better on the green side.

"Y-Y-You're seriously—Never mind. Since it's your birthday, I will not engage with your naughty comments."

"Engage with my naughty ideas, then."

"What th—Whatever! See ya later."

"I would love that. Wear something purple."

The eldest Haitani is excited for his favorite day. But what about the other Haitani? How is this day affecting him?

"I confirmed it from my brother, Sir Rindou. Sir Ran personally invited Ne-Yo to do a concert today for his birthday." Rindou's eyes quickly widened.

"What?! Brother did that?!"

"Yes. Apparently, he asked my brother's help during your trip from Spain to contact Ne-Yo's team to do an earlier concert here in the country." The purple haired scoffed while walking across the floor in his condo.

"Brother really works fast." Responded the distressed man.

"Do you want me to do something about this, Sir? Want me to send the singer back home?" This halted his boss.
