Tonight, both Bonten and Purgatorio together with the elite men of the German organization; are in one of the farthest provinces of the country where they decided to execute Aurelia Schreiber's plan to finish off the second quadrant of Zodiac led by Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius. If the first team was surrounded with waters, the second base is surrounded with grasslands.
The busy bee Rindou Haitani literally had to bite the insides of his mouth while face to face with a bomb with a size similar to a generator. But its effect is on the basic side. Given that he's a green and it's his first time operating a ticking killer as this one, of course he would struggle and sweat in fear that it might explode in front of his face. Imagine his paranoia. He can only wonder why he was suddenly assigned to this job of all the Bonten members. Alone.
"Hey. I would seriously fall asleep around here. Are you a turtle?"
"Will you fucking wait? Damn it."
"But you're taking too long."
"I'm trying, okay? This bomb's fault for being complicated."
"Complicated? Hah! Just admit that you're stupid when it comes to simple instructions."
In this quiet and cold night, Rindou is unexpectedly given a difficult task which is to set off a bomb to block the enemies' entrance and exit point once again and to ignite the war against Zodiac. Just like on their first battle, they hope to prevent the enemy from escaping and to capture the three leaders. Alive. Fortunately to them, the entrance and exit points of this base is only one and the base is smaller.
As usual, the devices inside were all shut down and garnered useless by their side's tech team. But there are two disadvantages. First, Zodiac may already be aware of Purgatorio and Bonten targeting their headquarters and may have already prepared for their attack. Second, the headquarters itself is surrounded by an open area—pure grasslands and flat lands, making it difficult to hide or even conceal the intruders' presence. And so, the brain of the attack had no choice but to order her men to be on double guard and to operate at midnight while in the surrounding forest a few meters from their target base. They also took into consideration of landmines being planted around the main base. Henceforth, they checked for unusual terrain. Yet again, perhaps even the presence of living plants--grasses--are on their side the same way the fog was during their first attack.
The devised new plan of the mastermind included putting several bombs in a truck which an assigned person will activate before driving it to the main gate of the enemy base. Before the bombs goes off and before it enters the gate, the person must jump off the truck and let it run on its own until it enters the camp. The explosion will be the diversion that will shake off the second quadrant, hopefully create casualties, and formally start the war. Can we all take a guess who this unlucky in-charge is?
"Time is running, Rindou Haitani. Get to work before they export their products. We want to keep them in, not let them out, remember?"
But for some strange reason, that assigned person has to be...Rindou Haitani, who has been hearing her annoying voice in his in-ear for a while. Sighing in annoyance, the man frustratingly combed his head and continued looking at the bomb. Which for some reason, isn't cooperative.
"I heard you loud and clear the first time, okay? I'm not stupid. I did as you told!"
"Sshh. Keep it down or you'll wake even the crickets." She chuckled. All the man could do is sigh with his sweat dripping on the side of his head, clearly angered.
