Peaceful Death

Eleanor's POV
I woke up this morning to an empty bed which was awkward? Noah usually was in bed resting or watching tv, but not today. Where was he? I sit up straight to go find him before checking on Caleb and Sebastian.

As I head downstairs, I see Folio in the kitchen crying silently while on the phone. "Yeah... I know bud, thank you" he said sounding heartbroken before saying "ok, bye buddy " and hanging up. I knew something was wrong when he turned to face me.
"Ellie? Noah doesn't have much time." I feel a tear instantly fall down my face. "Where is he?" I asked sounding so emotional. "The hospital. Nick and Jolly just left and are gonna come watch the kids. I'm gonna drive us there." I nod before quickly walking into Noah's bedroom to get dressed.

As the door closes, I go and grab one of his blue pillows and just scream into it. My tears falling fast and hard as I let my emotions come out. The love of my life is literally dying as I'm crying my heart out for him. This is why he was terrified of love. You always lose somthing.

I eventually got dressed in a white dress and combat boots before running downstairs to Folio. I hugged Nick and Jolly who had just arrived after dropping Noah off. They give me the saddest smiles before letting me go. I then jog outside with Folio. We quickly get in Nick's car and race to the hospital....

TEN MINUTES LATER
I open Noah's door and see him lying on the bed looking so lifeless. He was pale, so skinny, wearing his hat, and a heartbroken face. When his eyes meet mine, they were telling me it was time. I slowly walk over to him and sit right beside his bed. "Hi baby " I whispered as tears fall down my face.
"Ellie, it's time" he whispered while holding my hand. I nod as tears stream down my cheeks. "Tell the boys I love them so much. Please tell Caleb and Sebastian I love them so much even though I couldn't be... their father long." He says also crying. "Please enjoy the house in Italy. The car is waiting for you and Amanda will help you. Spencer will love Caleb and uh...
Just know you deserve so much, baby girl." He cries with me as we hold hands. "Noah, I love you baby... so much" he cries harder before pulling me into a hug. "I know sweetheart... you will always my first love... thank you for everything. You helped me in my darkest times and kept me strong, even through heartbreak. Thank you so much angel. I'll always Remember you." I nod before we kissed passionately. "Folio is gonna help you ok... I know he'll take good care of you. I hate to say this... I want you to fall in love again, he's a great guy and will treat you right." I shake my head. I couldn't fall in love again, Noah was my first and only love forever.
"Baby no" he closes his eyes but squeezes my hand. "If you could make me believe in love again, then you can absolutely love somebody else. Promise me Eleanor? You'll move on and be happy. I can't go and know your broken." I don't believe I can move on, but I can't let him go and know I'm heartbroken. "I promise... I promise you Noah " I said through the tears. "I'll always love you, Eleanor.." I watch as a small smile appears on his face, though his eyes were still closed. "Eleanor, they're coming." He whispers but sounding so at peace. "Go on, Noah. Go home baby" I whispered as tears were dripping down my face. "I love you, Eleanor" he whispered as his grip slowly starts to loosen on my hand.
"I'll love you forever, Noah" my heart beats as the seconds roll bye. Noah's grip slowly loosens and eventually our fingers part. I start crying so hard as he flatlined. Inside I was so devastatingly heartbroken, but on the outside, it was so peaceful. He looked so at ease and... Happy. Something that was almost impossible for him to find here on earth. Heaven holds a bright future... one I hope I can reunite with him again one day...
I'll see his beautiful face again.
