Sans awoke with a loud groan and aching bones to the smell of cinnamon rolls. It took him a long moment just to open his sockets due to the pain, but when he did, he spotted something he didn't expect: a girl. She was smiling at him with a freshly baked cinnamon roll on a plate in her hands, and she had it extended towards him as if trying to wake him up using the smell. A growl deep in his throat told her to back off, but the intimidation factor must've been lost due to him being tied to a chair in front of her.

"Hey, you doing ok?" she asked, though it sounded more like she was asking to be polite rather than because she was curious. The reminder of the many wounds littering his bones made him groan again. "Dad was kinda rough with you, wasn't he?" Her eyebrows furrowed in concern as she looked over his battered and bruised body.

"What the fuck do you want?" Sans spat, his sharp teeth grit ferociously.

"To heal you," she replied sweetly, holding out the cinnamon roll to him again. He tsk'd, turning his head away from it. She frowned. "Dad's going to come back, you know. He wants answers." Her dad kidnapped the mob boss because his brother - the Great and Terrible Papyrus - crossed Dad. Dad figured taking Sans hostage would get him what he wanted, but so far the skeleton had been less than complacent. Sans could hear the muffled angry rants from above him at the man's failure to get Sans to break, but it wasn't entirely surprising.

"He'll have to kill me," Sans grumbled coldly, and the girl sighed.

"Does your brother just not care about you?" They expected to get some kind of request for proof his brother was still alive from Papyrus but communication had been radio silent.

Sans flinched and scowled. "He's got more important things to be worrying about, dollface." The petname sounded mocking, but it brought a wry smile to the girl's face.

"Well I'm sorry to hear he doesn't care." Her words were softer than he expected, but his gaze only narrowed further.

"Why are you trying to heal me?" She was his enemy, the very daughter of the man that kidnapped him, and yet she was trying to heal him. Something wasn't right about this.

The girl glanced towards the door leading out of the basement then shifted closer to the skeleton bound to the chair. "Because you're in pain and I know I can help," she whispered. He glared at her closeness but he couldn't exactly do anything with his hands tied to the chair behind him. She again offered the cinnamon roll to him, but his scowl didn't lighten. "It'll heal you right up," she said lightly, pushing the edge of the plate into his jaw. He snapped at her and she yanked her hand back, fear in her eyes before it receded quickly. "I know you don't trust me, but-" Heavy footsteps thundered down the stairs and her eyes widened in a panic before she faced the door, holding the plate behind her back just in time before the door slammed open.

The man paused at seeing his daughter in the torture chamber with the rival mob boss. "(Y/n), what are you doing here?"

"I was, um, checking on the prisoner?" (Y/n)'s voice wavered unsteadily and she shifted antsily, stepping back just enough to again try to push the cinnamon roll against Sans' teeth. He kept his mouth closed stubbornly.
