Why is there only one flower by Dust's name? Because there's an actual story here with smut at the end - basically a normal one-shot with spice added for flavor. Whether you're here for only spice or only regular one-shots, you can get something out of this one lol

Pairing: Royal Guard! Murder/Dust Sans x Princess! Female Reader
Prompt: As the guard of the second princess, Dust's job is pretty easy - she's the middle child, thus she flies under the radar and nobody cares enough about her to have her killed. And that leaves her lonely, surrounded only by the guard that she suspects hates her, but it's easy to make assumptions when the other party plays mute.
Type: long story with smut at the end
Length: 8.5k words
Background: Set in a more modern kingdom - same as the Nightmare one (princess' suitor.) and Killer one (princess' guard.) - you're the princess of a human kingdom and he's the guard of a monster kingdom.
Notes: I got a request for the Nightmare one-shot but I ended up writing this one first because I got an idea for a guard Dust and it evolved from there to include Killer and Nightmare in the same 'series'. You take the place of each of the sisters for these one-shots, so note that the sisters' names are simply placeholders (since naming all of you Y/n makes no sense lmao). | This takes place at least a couple months after Nightmare's one-shot but it isn't necessary to read it to understand this one.

Also this is what I imagine their guard outfit to be:

When my older sister married the prince of a distant monster kingdom, I knew things were going to change, but what I didn't expect was to be guarded by a black hole of a bodyguard. The prince – now King Nightmare due to his marriage to my sister Adalyn – had a slew of Royal Guards that protected him and his brother and mother. He left his family behind to move to be with my sister, bringing his guards with him for our security, and we were assigned one each as our personal bodyguard.

My younger sister Carina was given the one named Killer, and the two got along like a house on fire. Carina was your typical youngest child – spoiled, loved by all, and as much as she was a pain in the rear growing up, she'd evened out now that she reached adulthood. Unfortunately, that childish side came back out around Killer, meaning I now had to contend with two equally annoying rapscallions in the same castle.

My older sister Adalyn was rarely seen without Nightmare, and they had two bodyguards in Cross and Horror. Cross was as polite as he was stoic, the model of what any Royal Guard should aspire to be, whereas Horror was downright creepy and I tried to keep my distance. Not that I thought he would kill me – Nightmare specifically forbade such a thing even if killing a royal wasn't nearly so easy – but the fear overtook logic around him and I preferred to hide behind my bodyguard whenever Horror was around.

I got the bodyguard that could fit every word he'd ever uttered on a single sheet of notebook paper. His personality was entirely absent – or at least that's how it felt when I tried to spark conversation with him and all he did was stare at me – and he accomplished more in scaring me than making me feel at ease like a bodyguard should. I would say we didn't get along but we'd have to interact in order to figure that out, and as much as I struggled to talk to him, he equally struggled to give a damn. Maybe Dust was assigned to me because I was glossed over anyway, hardly more than a footnote in a conversation I was actively a part of as I sat at the table with the rest of my family.
