Background:
Notes: This was inspired by a commentor mentioning Dream strikes them as the type to look for his soulmate in a world where soulmates don't exist, as well as my interpretation of a more stubborn him in Her Guardian (since he looks for his one and only mate in said story). | ^Good Vibes definitely strikes me as a song the Stars would play at their base and dance to - it's such a vibe and it fits them, yk? So of course I'm kicking off this one-shot with some good vibes :D (yes I'm aware it's impossible to add song lyrics without it being cringe, I hate myself too, dw)

"I only want good vibes 'round me tonight, no negativity in my life!" you sang, twirling around the kitchen.

"Just good vibes, that's what I like," Swap joined you, baby blue eyelights sparkling as he bobbed his head to the beat.

Ink twirled his giant paintbrush in his hands like he was dancing with a partner. "So I don't need you raining on my parade..."

"Throwing shade..." Swap took your hand, spinning you round and round.

You laughed in between the lyrics. "Be on your merry way!"

"I only want good vibes 'round me tonight!" all 3 of you sang together. "No negativity in my life!" Swap dipped you as Ink did the same to Broomie, all of you panting lightly from exertion. The song came to its conclusion as you let out a quiet laugh, and Swap righted you - but not without twirling you one more time - with a bright gleam in his sockets as he put his hands on his hips. Ink flipped Broomie into the air before strapping it to his back, crossing his arms as he leaned back against the counter. The speaker resting on the surface beside him quieted with the end of the song as you turned back to the pancakes on the griddle, flipping them as Swap watched closely.

With your head down, you didn't notice the third Star enter the room. "In all actuality, it is rather important to have some negativity in your life as well as positivity." Dream entered the kitchen with his hands behind his back, the smell of pancakes luring him in for breakfast.

Ink rolled his eyelights obnoxiously, clicking the button on the speaker to go to the next track. "The stickler has arrived, my muddy buddies."

Swap frowned. "He's not a stick in the mud, Ink."

"Hey Dreamy." You smiled warmly at Dream as Ink snorted - to which you shot him a look. He knew exactly how you felt about the guardian of positive emotions, as did Swap, but the one that should feel your feelings was blind to them.

You flipped a pancake as Dream dipped his head at you in greeting, taking a seat at the head of the table as Swap leaned over your shoulder to watch what you were doing. "I saw you and Swap took the floor with ease," Dream commented, resting his crossed arms on the table as his golden eyelights hovered between you and the baby blue bundle of joy next to you.

"You saw that?" Your face flushed, wondering if the display was nearly as embarrassing as it probably looked.

"We are getting much better at dancing together!" Swap exclaimed, pumping a fist in the air.

"Yes, he's doing a great job learning both that and how to, well, make something easier to keep down." Your smile turned awkward as you shared a look with Dream. Swap had a lot of passion for cooking, enough to blow you off your feet, but what his cooking lacked was a rather essential thing called edibility.
