today is the wedding day. we're already at the hall.

in all honesty, i'm not really nervous. me and leah have been together for what, 14 ish years.
we've seen each other at our best and at our worst.

whatever happens, happens.

leah on the other hand. well she's been a nervous wreck.

"what if i mess up the vows. or my speech. what if i step on your dress when we're dancing" she panicked.

"baby breathe" i said holding her hands.

we took deep breaths and she calmed down slightly.

"everything is going to be okay. nothing will go wrong" i said.

i sat down in my robe and had my hair and makeup done. leah sat in the chair next to me and had her makeup done along with her hair.

"i love you" i said. i kissed her lips and left the room to go into my dressing room to get into my dress.

my mum helped me slide into my dress and zipped up the back.

"you look gorgeous darling" she said.

"thanks mum" i said.

amanda knocked on the door and walked in.

"wow. you look amazing" she said.

"thank you" i said.

"okay so i hate to be the bearer of bad news" she began.

shit.

"please don't amanda" i said.

"jacob lost the rings" she said.

what the fuck.

that was his one job. keep them safe and bring them here.

"oh god" i said. "your taking the fucking piss"

this isn't much of a problem for me as much as leah.

i'd marry leah with haribo gummy rings and be just as happy. but if she finds out, she'll go ballistic.

"nobody can tell leah" i said. "she's already on the verge of a nervous breakdown if she finds out, this'll tip her over the edge"

"i know. jacobs looking for them but so far he hasn't had any luck" she said.

i rang jacob.

me: williamson if you don't find those fucking rings leah will absolutely batter you.

jacob: i'm trying izzy. i really am. i just can't remember where i last put them.

me: jacob this day needs to be absolutely perfect for leah. she's been dreaming about this for the last 2 and a half years. find them!

i ended the call.

"fucking hell" i said.

"where's henry" i asked. he was supposed to come with amanda.

"i left him with leah" she said.

it got closer and closer to the start of the wedding and there was still no call from jacob.

there was a knock on my door. amanda opened it and henry ran in.

"mummy. you princess" he said and smiled.

"and your my handsome prince" i said lifting him up. "don't you look so nice and smart in this suit"

"izzy" leah called through the door.

"yeah baby" i said.

"how is everything going" she asked.

"erm good" i said.
