i'm right where you left me

i woke up the next morning facing leah. she was already awake and staring at me.

"it's rude to stare" i joked.

"i'm not going to see you for a month. i'm allowed to stare" she said.

she leaned forward and kissed my lips.

"have you been up long?" i asked.

"only about half an hour. henry woke up so i fed him and then he went back to sleep" she said.

"thanks baby" i said.

"should we get up" she asked.

"in a minute" i said. "i think i need to kiss you again"

she rolled on top of me and kissed my lips again. they were soft kisses.

"i love when you kiss me like that" i said.

"i love kissing you like that" she said.

we got up and got dressed before going downstairs with henry who also woke up.

i made breakfast today and we ate it.

leah got her things ready to leave.

"i've got an hour" she said.

we sat in the living room and cuddled on the sofa.

"i promise ill ring you every chance i get" she said.

"le i want you to have fun. don't just think about us the whole time. enjoy being there. we will be right here when you come back" i said.

"we're going to be supporting mummy every second from home aren't we henry" i said.

a while later, leah took henry.

"baby, mummy love you so so much. i wish i didn't have to leave you now. i'll miss you so much. be a good boy for your mama, don't wake her up every night. i'll speak to you every day." she said. "my precious baby boy. i love you"

she kissed him loads of times, on his head and cheeks.

"i love you iz. more than anything in the world" she said.

"message me every day. send me lots of pictures and videos of henry. i don't want to miss anything" she said. "stay safe"

she then left in a taxi. i stood with henry at the door to wave her off.

i got in the house and sat on the sofa and sighed.

"what are we going to do without mummy" i said to henry in my arms.

i took a picture of henry and sent it to leah

i got us ready and then put henry in the pram to go on a walk.

i put blu on a leash and we went to the park. we walked around the whole park once and then got back home.

i was tired now.

i went to put in some food for blu and then i fed henry on the sofa.

around 7pm.

i was sat on my bed with henry in my arms. i miss leah a lot.

my phone buzzed and it was leah on facetime. i answered it immediately with a huge smile.

"hi my love" she said.

"hi le" i said. "we miss you"
i pointed the camera to henry.

"my baby boy" she said.
