Christmas brings with it warmth and celebration. The young couple chose to baptise the child on the holy occasion.
Harry and Annette were extremely happy.Mrs Hobson could cradle the little bundle in her arms experiencing love, compassion and joy at that moment.
Henry William Thompson was the star of the great celebration that marked his birthday.Neighbours and relatives were invited.Annette had been busy greeting guests and showing them the house.
The sun shone high in the sky and it's bright light bathed the gardens of the Thompson residence.A car drew up in the driveway and stopped. Two women got out dressed in red .One was a familiar face to Annette while the other was unknown.
They walked straight up to her the latter extending her hand,
" Roxette Tiphany," she said crisply.
" I'm so happy for you," said Anastasia Veronski.
The two ladies walked to the crib and bent towards the baby.Annette crossed the hall and asked,
" I heard you had two shifts so I didn't send you an invite". Said Annette lamely.
" Ungratefulness only brings bad luck." said Roxette.
" The refreshments are across please let me show you". said Annette.
"We don't have much time just stopped by to greet the child." said Anastasia.
They walked across attracting the notice of everyone as they got into the car again.Harry looked surprised and perturbed. He was heading towards the car when it left with great speed.
" Did you invite Anastasia?" asked Annette.
" Yes I met her yesterday at the supermarket and told her to drop by."
" Well you should have asked me if you needed more guests."said Annette impatiently.
" She did help us didn't she?" asked Harry.
" Yes don't I need to remember favours?" replied Annette.
Harry walked away to see off guests who were now leaving after the day's festivities.
