The lakeside seemed to be a great refuge.Harry sat down with William
while Annette swam.
His thoughts seemed to be grappled by the  memories of the photographs. The waters of the lake glinted in the sun as the cool breeze blew bringing the hope of freshness.William crawled back and forth .Harry began to see that he would have to compromise to make a difference to their complicated lives.Every time he thought of  Annette standing solid and strong and
pure. Her purity and dedication only made him guilty.
" It's lovely in there, why don't you try it," remarked Annette.
" Yes it's my turn now," he replied smiling at her .She watched as he went running into the water till he was waist deep in it.He turned and waved.Annette waved back at him.
She hoped that his demeanor would change. He seemed to be present yet very far.
They spent a few hours and turned indoors for lunch.
" Annette there is something that I wish to tell you," he began.
" Yes darling Id love to hear." she replied.
" It is about taking on a new business partner," he replied softly.
" Well it seems to be a new venture," she replied.
" It may need more time," he said.
" So long as it's worth your while," she replied.
William began to cry and Annette quickly took him outside to quieten
him.
She joined him after he fell asleep.
" Finish your lunch," he said ," I'll put him to bed."
Harry carried the baby to the suite .
Lighting a cigarette he went to the balcony taking a view of the seagulls as they flew close to the waves. He felt dreadful that he had to take such a step to quieten Roxette. At the same time he would not be able to avoid her.Her insistence into his life had left him broken. But there would still be that wall of reality between them.Annette was precious to him.
