Roxette sat faced with a lawyer whom Mr Tiphany appointed.
" Were you responsible for what happened to Harry's wife?"
"In a way yes," said Roxette.
" Why did you take such a step?" Asked the lawyer.
" I wanted Harry back in my life," he said.
" Do you feel repentant now," he asked.
" No she replied.
" Now listen to me carefully or you will have to spend the rest of your days in prison," he said sombrely.
" Alright," she answered.
" First confess that Ptolemy forced you to pay the ransom," he said.
" But if I do they will sentence me for the death of Terence."
" If that happens you will tell them the truth," said the lawyer.
What about Annette Thompson," she asked.
" Ptolemy will testify that he was responsible," said the lawyer.
" What if the court decides I was responsible?" Asked Roxette.
" Just say you did not know Annette" said the lawyer.
" Ok , " conceded Roxette.
That day Harry was summoned to the police station.
" You had a narrow escape and we have exiled Ptolemy. He is going to have a life sentence along with his accomplice."
" I'm grateful that my wife was safe," said Harry.
" Don't thank me it's the young lady Myra who saved her life," said David.
" What about these photographs ?" He said gesturing towards his photographs with Roxette
" I will tell Annette about them," he muttered.
" You and Roxette have been accomplices .What stopped me from getting your handcuffs was Rupert ."
" I had not made any agreement with Roxette," said Harry.
" You have to attend the court proceedings and we will leave it to the chief of justice to make a decision.Do not leave the country."
