"Annette Hobson I presume,"she said.
"Yes ," replied Annette.
"I'm sister Magdelaine, welcome,"she replied. They walked down a narrow passage entering a large room then climbing the stairs reached the second floor. They stopped at a door on the right.Sister Magdelaine opened the door with a long key inside a bunch of keys. After undoing the key she gave it to Annette.
"This is your room ,dinner will be at 6 p.m .Don't be late." said sister Magdelaine.
"Where is the dining room,?"asked Annette curiously.
" Go downstairs, walk until you cross a courtyard ,the dining hall is on the right".The door shut and Annette was alone The journey made her feel groggy and hungry .She showered and changed.
She lay on the bed and was soon asleep. She woke up with the sound of a bell ringing. She looked at her watch. It was 6 p.m.She brushed her hair quickly and opening the door followed the path to the courtyard. She crossed it and went inside a large hall. Many nuns were seated and she sought a place for herself.A hand waved and she found a place near her. There was dead silence and one could almost hear the other breathing.
Annette was seated beside a young girl like herself with red hair.
"Anastasia ," came the whisper.
"Annette," she replied. The dinner started with soup and followed by baked potatoes and ham.
Bread was passed around. Thus ended the day at Grimley square.
