Two days had passed and Annette was feeling better. She got out of bed and looked out of the window.Leaves were falling to the ground at each sweep of the wind. The dried leaves floated as they jostled gently in the breeze. She
heard a knock on the door and Anastasia came in carrying a tray.
" How are we this morning?" She asked gaily.
" Recovering," said Annette.
" Now let's get changed and take your medicines ," said Anastasia cheerfully.
She helped Annette change and then seated her by the window.
" Bring the baby," said Annette.
" Of course once you take your medicines". said Anastasia.
Just then there was a brisk knock on the door and the doctor came in.
" So how is Mrs Thompson feeling today,"asked the doctor.
" Better", said Annette smiling.
After a brief examination the doctor said ," No more medications ."
The tray that Anastasia held fell to the floor. The doctor observed the medicines on the floor and said,
" See me in the chamber,"
" Oh I'm so sorry," said Anastasia.
She bent and picked up the medication which had fallen on the floor and retreated.
Annette was a little surprised at the events.Anastasia had been careless.
She looked at the ground once again and heard a knock. She looked up and saw the baby being carried in  .Soon the nurse kept the baby in the crib.
Annette looked at the tiny baby sleeping blisfully. She decided to eat her breakfast as she suddenly felt ravenous. After that she held the baby in her arms and gazed at his sleeping countenance.
The door opened and Mrs Hobson entered.
" My dear child how are you?" she asked taking the baby in her arms.
"I'm fine mother and thank God you are here".said Annette.
"I took the first train available,"she continued.
" I'm feeling relaxed already," said Annette.
