"I've come to take you back home," said Harry.
" My world is here with my mother I can't turn back the clock of time" she answered.
" I'm really very sorry my sweetheart," said Harry.
" I'm sorry but I don't love you anymore," said Annette.
Layla Hobson entered the garden.
" Do have dinner with us Harry," she said.
" It's late and I need to attend a conference tomorrow so I'll head back," he said.
" Good night," said Layla.
" Good night," whispered Harry.
The darkness seemed to swallow him as he walked away towards his car
Annette went inside the cottage and going to her room broke down.Why did life have to be like this?
As he drove away Jeffrey couldn't help looking on to see that he had gone back alone.He sympathised with Annette and knew that deep down she had suffered.
William went to bed and slept soundlessly.
Annette couldn't sleep and rolled in her bed when finally she found sleep in the early hours of morning.
Layla went back to work.
" Layla bring coffee to the library," said Mr Thompson.
" Yes of course," replied Layla.
Layla got busy making coffee and scones.
She knocked at the library door before entering.
" So how is Annette doing?" asked Mr Thompson.
" Well she is heartbroken," said Layla.
" Time will heal," said Mr Thompson reading the newspaper.
As she came out of the library she met Jeffrey.
" How is Annette doing?" He asked.
" She's fine will recover in due course."
" She is so simple yet virtuous," he remarked.
