" Ah there you are" ,said Mr Abigail.
" I hope you're enjoying the party," said Mr Tiphany smoking one of his Colombian cigars.
" Try one ,"he coaxed Mr Abigail.
" No thanks I'd much rather have a refil of this heavenly champagne", said Mr Abigail .
" So haven't you thought about getting you daughter remarried," he asked.
" Actually I was expecting many a youth at today's dinner," said Mr Abigail.
" There's Mr Claude Rupert who I've got eyes for, he'll be a wonderful match for Roxy,' said Mr Tiphany.
' Oh very well I'll look around,' said
Mr Abigail.
" What about Jeffrey Thompson , he's wonderful," said Mr Tiphany.
" Go along and check him out," said Mr Tiphany.
The dancing had started to lilting music when Harry and Annette took the floor gracefully. All eyes were on the couple when Claude asked Roxette for a dance.Soon Mr Tiphany followed with Maria Sanchez to which they all applauded.Jeffry Thompson watched Annette and Harry dance. They were
made for each other yet he felt a tinge of jealousy. He felt a warm hand on his shoulder.Mr Abigail introduced himself and then his daughter.
" Glad to make your acquaintance," said Jeffrey politely.
Soon Albert joined them .He was quick to ask Macy for a dance. The music continued and drinks were replenished.
Harry and Annette found Mr Tiphany surrounded by Young Sanchez and his
wife Weberly.
" You look wonderful together," said Mr Tiphany.
" Thankyou Sir," replied Harry Thompson.A waiter passing by replenished their glasses to which Annette refused to have more. She excused herself and went back to the table.
"May I have this dance," asked Jeffrey.
" Yes indeed," she relaxed at once.
Harry felt a hand at his elbow. He turned around only to find Roxette.
He looked towards the others dancing when his eyes found Annette and Jeffrey dancing .On impulse he said,
" May I have this dance?" Soon they were gliding on the floor to the tune of Blue Danube.
Claude Rupert now sat smoking a cigarette on the balcony when he heard footsteps and Annette sought to stand alone soaking in the moonlight.
" Good evening," said Rupert.
" Good evening,' replied Annette.
" I hope I'm not disturbing you," said Rupert going closer.
" Oh there's something in my eye," said Annette.
" Can I help you? " he said seizing the opportunity.
" Well it will ease itself," began Annette.
" It'll take only a second," said Rupert.
He took two steps then holding her face blew into the left eye.
At that precise moment Roxette entered.
" Oh sorry I didn't mean to disturb you'll," she said.
Retreating she beckoned Harry who also walked to the balcony finding Rupert' s hand on Annette ' s shoulder standing very close to her.
Annette turned around to find Roxette and Harry watching them.
" Something was in my eye and Rupert was helping me," said Annette.
