Harry held out his hand for Annette as she got into the boat.She clung to him now irrespective of his growing
indifference.
" Why are you avoiding me?" she asked.
" My dear I'm really tired please don't
misunderstand me,I love you," he said reassuringly.
" Is this the end of our relationship?"
she asked again with tears brimming.
" I've had a rough time please be patient," he continued.
" If that's what you want,but there's something you are keeping from me," she pursued.
" It's the partnership,she is Roxette Tiphany," he said.
" You haven't told me about her," she said.
" I've known her before you came into my life and now that my business isn't doing well I've decided to take on a partnership." he said.
" Does that mean our married life is over?" she asked sobbing.
" No just give it sometime soon things will come back to normal," he replied.
He then took her into his arms and kissed her.
The next day they returned back and life sped on as it did.William had learnt to walk and needed greater attention.
One night Annette came up to a conclusion after serious thought.
" Harry dear I'm leaving to stay with my mother for a few days." she said
" When ?" he asked.
" Tomorrow , by the noon train," she replied.
" Must you leave so suddenly?" He asked.
" It doesn't matter, besides a few days
will give us time to understand things in a better light," she said.
" Roxette has been out of town and the signing of the partnership awaits her arrival," he said.
" I met her at the christening party ," she said.
" She is the business head succeeding
her father Mr Halifax Tiphany who is now retired." He spoke cautiously.

" Wish you the very best," she said.
