Harry Thompson looked straight ahead andlll sometimes at the ceiling of the white walled coutroom.
Annette came in and was late. The proceedings started and the couple signed.Harry couldn't force Annette to believe they could have a life after what had happened. The disgrace she felt at the trial had left her frozen. She found it had impeached whatever feelings she had left for Harry.
Annette walked out without looking behind. In her mind she had carved a door that would be dormantly shut.Harry got back to his life and found that he felt handicapped after loosing Annette. It felt as if he had lost a leg.
Layla Hobson carried William around knowing he was always looking for his mother.
The trees shed their leaves as they lay along the sidewalk.
Annette returned home and burst into tears. Why had Harry been dishonest?
She refused to eat that day and lay in bed weeping.Layla left her alone knowing she couldn't comfort her daughter in this valley of grief.
William crawled upto her seeking attention.
That night Annette slept with William in her arms.It was an intense night whose dreams caught her in the grip of the deep pit where she lay calling Help help!
As the days passed so did her grief. It lessened until Christmas arrived and the Thompson's once again gave their Christmas lunch. All were invited and thus the hall was over crowded with people helping themselves to the buffet.
" There she is," said Harry's sister.
" I knew their marriage wouldn't last," said his cousin.
" It's over," said Harry's mother.
I hope he finds someone maybe hybrid and smart," said his cousin.
"Roxette Tiphany was imprisoned, and as the gossip states it was Annette who was responsible," said Monalisa.
" I don't think she'll find happiness," said Harry's mother.
