When Yuri first met Gillian in St. George Army, she wasn't sure how her talents would benefit the business because, in contrast to the majority of them, who have excellent combat and firearms skills, Gillian excels in cosmetics. However, as they worked together, Yuri quickly realized that Gillian's skills were just as valuable.

Her ability to create camouflage makeup also proved useful in certain missions. In fact, her expertise in cosmetics even helped her conceal her identity when she approached Giulia.

"Your name is Maya Olsen and you just arrived from London, United Kingdom. It is your first time here in New York so you do not know anyone yet and are just here for a vacation," Gillian said as she gave final pampering to her face.

Yuri fixed her attention on her reflection in the mirror. She was unable to recognize herself at all because Gillian did a fantastic job of altering her appearance. She has a blonde wig that is firmly fastened to her head, and she is even sporting blue contact lenses that go with the mini dress that draws attention to her body's curves.

She did not expect that cosmetics could be as lethal as any weapon especially if used with that purpose.

No one would know that underneath such appearance is a dangerous woman who could kill another person without remorse. For tonight, she would have to pretend as a defenseless foreigner who does not know a thing or two about staying in an alien country.

"It is done. George said though that you must wait for the package to arrive. The preparations are almost complete," Gillian told her and proudly looked at her as if she is a masterpiece. She just nodded without removing her gaze from the mirror.

She wonders if she could acquire Gillian's skill to find a real job. But then, it would be a lot of work, especially since she needs papers in order to live as a different person. She contemplates the idea of starting fresh, leaving behind her old life and creating a new identity. It's a daunting task, but she knows it's necessary if she wants to escape her past.

But maybe it isn't the time yet to be thinking about that, especially since she hasn't achieved her greatest goal yet.

"I heard that this is going to be the last job you are going to do for St. George. What are you planning to do next?"

That caused her to sigh loudly. Since the death of her father, she has developed the mentality that attachment to other people would only be a sign of weakness. Even though she only recently met Gillian through SGA, she could not deny that she already felt a strong bond with her and that she was like a sister to her. In addition, Gillian has been a lifesaver in more ways than one. She has skills, but she also listens well and is supportive of her.

Yuri clutched Gillian's hands and squeezed it softly. "We'll cross that bridge when we get there but for now, I want to focus first on how to make it a success. Who knows, I may not be able to come out of this alive."

She may be confident with her skills that her co mercenaries, even former and present clients gave her an alias called "Azrael". The angel of death. She earned that nickname because whenever she is out on a mission where killing someone is the task, she always delivers a good performance at doing it.

Azrael's reputation as a skilled and efficient mercenary precedes her wherever she goes. Her ability to take out targets with precision and speed has earned her the respect of both her peers and clients alike. Despite being approached by other PMCs, she remains loyal to George, the man who gave her a chance when no one else would. Her unwavering commitment to him is a testament to her strong sense of loyalty and honor.

With each successful mission, she solidifies her place as one of the most formidable mercenaries in the business. Her skills are unmatched, and her determination to succeed is unwavering. As long as there are targets that need eliminating, Azrael will be there to get the job done with deadly efficiency.

However, she unavoidably made a lot of enemies because of her dangerous job, making her head extremely valuable. As a result, she constantly worries that she won't return from a mission alive. She doesn't mind, though, because she is confident that George will look after her mother.

"George did mention that Giancarlo Costa is somehow involved in this. I did some quick digging, and I found that he is one of the bar's investors. To say that you may meet each other is not impossible, so once you do, I wonder what you are going to do."

Gillian observed how Yuri's eyes grew cold in response to her question, but she is adamant about hearing her answer. She is well aware that her friend has had a personal grudge against the Capo of Morituro for quite some time now even though not many people are aware of it.

She couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. She knows that Yuri's vendetta against the capo is personal and deep-seated. It wasn't just simply a matter of principles.

"Even though it would undoubtedly kill me as well, I will kill him. I've already given in to that."

Gillian was about to respond but the continuous knocks on the door put a halt on their conversation. She was about to stand up but Gillian had already walked towards the door and opened it revealing an arrogant looking Valentin holding a treasure like box.

"Come check this out, Signorina," he said proudly and handed the box to Yuri who did not hesitate to open the box.

She raised a brow looking at the objects. As usual, Valentin did an excellent job as she could see that the contents of the box are top notch.

Gillian took the flowered shaped hairpin with pointed ends and carefully tied it to the wig. Of course, no one would assume that such a thing could be used to stab someone, especially that it looks like just an ordinary hairpin.

Valentin on the other hand put the bracelet around her wrist. "I know that it may not have an effect on you but it is still better to be safe than sorry," he said in a low voice, tapping the gemstone of the bracelet that contains an antidote just in case the drugs would knock her out.

Along with learning how to use weapons and engage in combat, she also received training in poison and substance tolerance, which included exposure to some well-known drugs on the market. But based on the knowledge George has, Giancarlo Costa is the source of the drugs that were administered to the victims.

The bastard is known for innovation. From what she heard last time, he is even supplying a new kind of substance that does not even have a name yet so more likely, her immune system would not be able to withstand it.

She reached out for Valentin's hand and kissed the back of it. "Thank you for always protecting me, godfather."

Such a gesture took the man by surprise when the women just found him crying. They laughed at the sight but the both of them joined in for a hug.

If only I met them under normal circumstances. She thought about how it was making her feel emotional to have to completely cut ties with these people after tonight because of the code of silence she swore to when she joined here and also for their own sake.

Everyone is aware that forming ties with someone as dangerous as she does no good for anyone.
