Giancarlo's thoughts wandered back to the conversation he overheard between Yuri and Cassius, where Yuri said that she might go back to Manila after everything was settled.
The rational part of him understood that he couldn't hold Yuri back from making her own decisions, especially when it came to her future and for the sake of her mother. It's not as if they are also in a romantic relationship, so he had no right to impose his desires on her, and after what they have been through, she deserves to start fresh in a place where she won't be reminded of the painful memories and hardships they endured.
He just couldn't help but feel a twinge in his chest at the thought of Yuri leaving, knowing that their paths might never cross again. Certainly, when she said that she wants to forget everything that happened here, that also included him.
Because, as much as he wants her to stay by her side, he wants her to be there by choice. Even though for a fleeting moment last time, he selfishly wished that she would end up pregnant later when she asked him not to pull out when he was inside her.
It was such a twisted thought, but he knows if that is going to happen, then he will have every reason to have her stay with him.
"It's cold," Yuri whispered, whose eyes were still closed. She hugged him tighter, and even in her sleep, she seemed to instinctively seek warmth and comfort from him.
The gesture could've made him smile, but knowing that Yuri has plans to leave, it only added to his growing sense of emptiness. He wanted to hold onto this moment forever, cherishing the warmth and intimacy they shared, but he also knew that he couldn't ask her to stay for his own selfish desires.
There were soft knocks on the door and he heard Favio's voice asking whether he was awake.
He gently disentangled himself from Yuri's embrace and got up to answer the door.
"Finalmente è arrivato," (He finally arrived) Favio said as soon as he opened the door.
Giancarlo clicked his tongue and went across the room to grab his robe as a visitor arrived.
After giving Yuri a soft kiss on the lips and whispering a promise to return soon, Giancarlo made his way to the door, and together with Favio, they walked to where the visitor was waiting.
They stopped upon facing the figure of a man who was seated on the couch while sipping a cup of tea, and then their eyes met.
"Quanto stai vendendo questo?" (How much are you selling this for?) the man asked as he looked around, his eyes lingering on the various art pieces and furniture.
"Basta fare quello che ti ho detto di fare e andartene." (Just do what I told you to do and leave)
"Sei ancora maleducato come sempre." (You're still as rude as ever)
Giancarlo just smirked at that. He was about to respond when he noticed that his visitor was looking behind him with an amused expression. He turned around to see Yuri standing there, still dazed from her sleep.
"It's nice to finally meet you in flesh, Azrael."
Yuri narrowed her eyes in confusion, which flickered across her face. She glanced at Giancarlo, waiting for an explanation.
"Signorina, meet my brother. Vincentius Costa."

The good looks must have run in the family, as Vincentius Costa was just as handsome as his brother. The resemblance between the two was uncanny, with their chiseled jawlines and piercing eyes, although compared to Giancarlo, Vincentius has more soft features, giving him a gentle and approachable demeanor.
