Aleksei still feels conflicted about having dinner with Yuri, but seeing how Giancarlo had already changed from what he was before, he decided that everything would be alright.

It never occurred to him that a time would come when the mafia boss would be vulnerable because of a woman.

As he looked at Giancarlo with Yuri by his side, he couldn't help but notice the genuine smile on his face. It was a stark contrast to the ruthless demeanor he had always associated with him. He did not expect that a lot could happen during the time he was not around.

"Be back by eight p.m., no exceptions," Giancarlo warned Aleksei. He silently nodded at that without complaining, although it's already six thirty and they surely need more time to enjoy the dinner. But then, he should already be thankful that Giancarlo even allowed them to go contrary to what he said initially.

They both looked at Yuri who snorted at that. "Be back by eight p,m.? Don't you think we need more time to enjoy dinner? Do you want me to choke on my food?" Yuri retorted sarcastically.

Aleksei had no reaction to that, but he couldn't help but admire Yuri's boldness in speaking her mind.

Giancarlo raised an eyebrow at Yuri's comment, clearly unamused. "I understand your desire to enjoy the dinner, but a pregnant woman like you should not be outside late at night. If I do not see your shadow entering this house by eight p.m., I will personally come looking for you," Giancarlo warned, his tone stern.

Yuri rolled her eyes at that, then averted her attention instead to Aleksei, who was wearing a casual yet stylish outfit.

"Well, you heard the boss. We need to be back before his curfew so let's go somewhere else for dinner," Yuri suggested, trying to lighten the mood.

Aleksei nodded in agreement, as he was also thinking of the same thing. With the limited time that Giancarlo only provided for them, they needed to make the most of it and find a place to eat quickly.

"I know a good place that we can enjoy. Let's go!"

To Aleksei's surprise, Yuri even clung to his arm, pulling him towards the door of the villa, leaving a fuming Giancarlo behind.

"Ci assicureremo che siano al sicuro, capo. La riporteremo indietro prima dell'ora che hai detto," (We'll make sure they're safe, boss. We'll bring her back before the time you specified) one of his men said with a reassuring tone.

Giancarlo nodded at that, his eyes still following Yuri and Aleksei as they walked away. "Se quel bastardo tenta di fare una mossa su mia moglie, portalo fuori immediatamente." (If that bastard tries to make a move on my wife, take him out immediately)

Yuri decided to take Aleksei to the burger joint where he had already brought Giancarlo before. Given the limited time they have, she figured that this is the perfect place to grab a quick and satisfying meal, especially since she could attest that the burgers and the other menu items are delicious and of high quality.

"I apologize about how Giancarlo treated you this morning. When we found out that I am pregnant, he's been really protective of me, and sometimes he can be a bit overbearing," Yuri started once they had already told their order to the waitress. She settled on the vegetable salad and the milkshake, while Aleksei opted for the classic cheeseburger and a side of crispy fries.

Aleksei smiled at that. "I could see that he really cares for you, Signorina. Well, If I were in his position, I would probably feel the same way."

Yuri smiled at that as she sipped on the glass of water. "Aren't you dating someone? In your line of work and being a race car champion, I could imagine that a lot of women would be interested in you." Aleksei chuckled and shook his head.
