They'd gotten out of Terminus, butchering the people, finding Carol out in the woods, who lead them to Tyreese, Sophie and Judith.

Carl and Rick ran to Judith, Sasha to Tyreese and Taylor to Sophie. Sami smiled, leaning against a tree. He was exhausted. But they were safe.

Taylor, Sophie, Danny, Tyreese, Bob, Sasha, Michonne, Apollo, Carl, Rick, Daryl, Carol, Maggie, Glenn, and now Rosita, Abraham, Eugene and Tara.

They were alive. And more importantly together.

They got back on the tracks, a much larger group, now, heading away from Terminus. Where to, they didn't know.

It was cooling down, meaning the travelling would get easy soon, depending on where they went. They were a strong group, but on the road. Everyone had their limits out here. Sami was just praying that Danny and Carl and the others were enough to keep him from reaching his again.

Sami took out the walkers that got too close. It was freaking him out, how tired he was, and fighting them woke him up. He didn't have his machete, but did have a knife, and his boots. It was all he needed, really.

It was the next day when he worked up the courage to talk to one of the new people. He didn't like new people, and having them be just a part of the group so suddenly made him feel like a kid in school again, and he didn't like it.

But he'd been talking to Danny. He owed them a lot of for keeping Danny alive.

"Hey, Rosita?" He tapped her arm as he caught up with her, as they walked through the woods.

She glanced at him. "Sami."

"Yeah. Uh . . . I just wanted to thank you."

"For what?"

"Danny. I know a lot of people helped him. But . . . he said you protected him from the dark. Thank you."

She shrugged. "Since all he'd have in the dark is touch, I'd be terrified of it, too."

"Yeah." He glanced at Danny, who was excitedly signing something to Carl. "Wish I could do something to help him with it."

"You do plenty. Should see the shit he wrote on my arm about you."

Abraham appeared, clearing his throat loudly beside Sami.

"Um . . . hello." Sami looked at him, eyes wide. "I was just thanking Rosita for looking after Danny."

"Sure you were." He narrowed his eyes at him. "I'm on to you, hermano."

"On what?"

"You."

"What?" He glanced between them. "I'm leaving, I don't like this. Thanks to you, too. I guess."

As Sami pushed past Abraham and further down the line of people, Rosita rolled his eyes.

"He was just thanking me."

"Yeah, that's what I did first, too. Now I get to-"

"He doesn't understand metaphors." Sophie said, walking behind them. "He didn't know what you were saying about being onto him."

"I don't give a monkey's left ass cheek, that man can suck one."

"Help! Help! Anybody, help!"

"Sami, come on!" Carl ran towards the sound of the man yelling, Sami running after him, then the entire group.

A man, stuck up on a rock, surrounded by five walkers as he screamed.

Carl shot the first one, and Sami ran to the two closest, grabbing their heads and slamming them into the rock, crushing them, as one stumbled over to him and was shot in the head by Daryl, the final being stabbed by Carol.
