The entire community went on lockdown.

Sami hid guns around the community, so that if people got in, they could fight them off. They lined the cars up by the exit, in a line. Everyone was told to remain inside.

Dwight had taken everything Daryl had in the burnt forest, not just his crossbow. He'd been the one to take the bike. And considering how he attacked the day before, and the people backing him, and the fact that the final person at the satellite station took off on Daryl's bike, they'd worked out that Dwight joined the Saviors. Which meant that there were more. People alive to avenge the fallen.

And they had no idea how many.

"What're you doing out here?"

Sami was pulled from his thoughts by Rosita walking over to him at the gate, gun in hand.

"I was taking Eugene's watch."

"Yeah, I took Gabriel and Duke's. I can take his, too." Sami leaned against the fence, looking through a small gap down the street. "Wanna see, you know?"

She leaned on the wall beside him, forearm leaning against his, and sighed. "Been up all night?"

He nodded. "Wouldn't sleep anyway, so just kept busy."

She looked at his face. "You needed it, though. You okay?"

"Yeah."

"You sure?"

He glanced at her. "Why wouldn't I be?"

"I don't know, because of yesterday?"

He shrugged. "I'm worried about what's gonna happen, yeah."

"But don't care what happened Denise?"

"Just another name in a long list of names, right?" He turned to look down the road again, as Sasha climbed down the ladder to the lookout, smiling at Abraham. "Happens us all."

Rosita was glaring at the pair, but looked at Sami, then, as he spoke. "That's not what I meant."

He shrugged again. "We're all gonna die, no point in pretending it'll mean something. Just gotta hope you save some people doing it."

She was about to say something, when Daryl came over on his bike, pulling the gate open.

"Where're you going?" Sami asked, glad to have the distraction. He really didn't feel good. He just wanted to sleep.

"Out."

"No shit!" Abraham yelled from the lookout above them. "You got specifics?"

He didn't answer.

"Great idea, Daryl." Sami yawned, crossing his arms and closing his eyes. "Put us all at risk for a little revenge on your bike."

He ignored him, climbed on his bike, and vanished down the road, even the sound of the bike disappearing rather quickly.

Glenn and Michonne climbed into a car, about to follow him, when Abraham jumped in front of them.

"Whoa! Make some room for my freckled ass!"

"This is stupid, having so many people out there." Sami said, walking over to the car. "I can head out on my own."

"No. We should keep numbers here." Glenn said.

Rosita walked over, opening the back door. "I know where he's going."

Sami was suddenly wide awake. "Wait, no, Rosita-"
