Daryl, Carol and Bob.
All vanished during the dinner.
No one knew where they went.
Sasha, Tyreese and Rick went out looking, returning with a pissed off Sasha and no Bob.
Sami was keeping watch, but Danny was sitting inside, watching as Sasha and Rick yelled as Gabriel, causing him to break down crying. Danny couldn't read lips very well when people were crying. They didn't move normally.
Sami was walking laps around the chapel, gun in hand, and was out the back when he heard scuffling around the front.
He snuck forward, seeing three shapes vanish into the darkness of the trees, and a heap on the grass.
He made a split second decision to go to the heap, finding Bob, knocked out, his leg gone.
He lifted him, rushing up the steps and opening the door with his foot.
"Bob. I've got him, someone check the tree line, I saw tres people." He lay Bob on the ground, a sobbing Sasha coming over to him, as Glenn and Maggie ran out the front to check the perimeter.
Bob woke when the others returned, looking around widely.
Sasha held his hand tightly. "Bob. Bob, are you okay? What happened?"
"I . . . I was in the graveyard. Someone knocked me out. I woke up in this . . . this place. It looked like a . . . a school. It was that guy, Gareth. And five other ones. They were eating my leg right in front of me. All proud like they had it all figured out."
Rick looked down at him, talking softly. "Did they have Daryl and Carol?"
He took in ragged breaths, before speaking. "Gareth said they drove off. "
Drove off? What the hell did that mean? Did they abandon them? Sami couldn't see either of them doing that. But then again, they were gone. They had driven off, without them. Without telling anyone.
"Sami. Sami, do you know any way to help him?" Sasha put a hand tightly on his elbow. "Some . . Scout first aid?"
"There's pill packets in the first-aid-kit." Rosita said, sitting the edge of a pew nearby.
"No." Bob shook his head. "Save 'em."
"No!" Sasha's hand tightened on both Bob and Sami.
"Really." He began crying, then, not just groaning in pain, as he sat up, reaching his arm up to pull his shirt from his shoulder, revealing a large, red, bloody bite mark.
Sasha just stared at him, her hand falling from Sami's shoulder.
Sami felt sick. He wanted to do something. Offer comfort. But there was no comfort in the inevitable.
"It happened at the food bank." Bob explained.
"It's okay." Sasha held his hand tightly, and he fell to his back again.
"There's a sofa." Gabriel said quietly. "In my office. It's not much, but . . . "
"Thank you."
"We got him." Tyreese tapped Sami's arm, and the pair of them lifted Bob, carefully, into the office, Sasha following.
"I'll give you guys some space." Sami said, as he carefully placed him on the sofa. "If there's anything I can do, I'm just here."
Sasha crouched by Bob, and Tyreese nodded, before Sami made his way into the the main room.
