At first, Sami hated the Commonwealth.

He was separated from his people. The guards said it was because they had to go in for interviews and he had to be treated for his wounds, but he still hated it. But it was only for a few days. Then, he was back with Rosita and Coco, and actually in the Commonwealth.

It was overwhelming, to say the least. It was almost exactly like an American city in a TV show before the Fall. The streets were clean, people were happy. There were hospitals, schools, jobs. They used actual money here, rather than just communism. They had order. They had rich people. They had a prime-minister.

Sami didn't like it. But then he saw Coco in clean, fresh clothes. He saw Rosita get excited about a cafe, and he didn't mind so much.

He was taken in for an interview, too. They asked what he did before, what he'd been willing to do now. He told them of the school he taught at, and the Scouts he used to train. So, they have him the job of a tutor for struggling kids. He liked it. He got to find out why the kids were struggling, teach it to them in ways they understood. It was quite relaxing, honestly.

Danny hadn't wanted to stay. He left when they asked him if he wanted to, to go live in Hilltop again. The news of Maggie being alive seemed to kickstart his want to rebuild Hilltop. So, after making sure his family was okay, he left.

Rachel just followed Daryl, and hated the Commonwealth. It was too loud, too bright. She hated the people. But, she stuck by Daryl and the kids to try and make herself feel better.

After almost a month, Sami managed to get himself, Rosita and Coco a much nicer apartment. At first, they were in one room, with way too many people in the building. They could hear everything, and Coco hardly slept unless Sami brought her for a walk.

But now, they had a nice place. It was a few stories up, clean. Coco's drawings on the fridge, and photo Sami had in his drawer in Alexandria of his Papa in a frame in the living room. Large windows, a room for Coco and a room for him and Rosita.

It was normal. And he wasn't sure if he loved or hated it.

A month after they arrived, it was Halloween. The town's hall had put on a festival in the town's square. Kids were dressed up, parents, too. There were activities for the children, stalls, and a petting zoo, which Rosita said Sami wasn't allowed near.

He was talking to one of his older students, who had been struggling reading, but was finally picking it up, and wanted to show him she could read the signs nearby, when Rosita called him.

"Sami! Sami, come here!"

He apologized to the girl, and made his way over. "What- AH!"

"Quiet!" Eziekiel scolded, but laughed, as he held the large rabbit in his arms out to Sami.

"Oh, my God, hi." Sami took the rabbit, the same was he used to hold Loki and Thor, suddenly missing the pair.

"Thought you'd want to see him." Rosita said, as she made her way into the fenced off area with the animals, Coco in her arms.

Sami held the rabbit, who honestly seemed quite content. "You're really lucky with this job, man. I gotta tutor humans."

Ezekiel laughed. "Maybe you should've lied."

"Would probably be beheaded." Sami made his way over to Coco. "Hey, Cokes, look. I had two of these guys growing up. Papa loved them."

Coco was sitting on the ground, and reached her hand out to the rabbit as Sami placed him down, trying to rub him.
