Sami watched from the roof. There had already been a sniper there, but he took him out, and now took his spot. A plan was brewing in his mind.

It seemed they were doing some kind of exchange. Maggie, Daryl, Negan, Grace and Elijah stood with Joel, who was in Reaper gear with a bag over his head. Leah and two other Reapers, who Sami could see on the other side, were looking for Caver back.

Joel was pretending to be Carver. Since, of course, Carver was much in an infirmary.

"What are you offering?" Leah questioned.

"Loose your weapons, and we'll let you leave." Daryl stated, as he held Joel's head back, knife to his throat, face still covered.

"Is that all?" A Reaper asked.

"You head north. Don't turn back. I see anyone, anyone at all, I'm gonna kill him. Once we're far out enough, we'll let him go."

Joel, having almost killed Carver when the reapers first attacked, knew that Carver wouldn't agree to that. So, began making noises, since he was gagged, to make it out that he was speaking.

"Shut up!" Daryl shoved his head, and Joel did so.

Leah looked at them. "You expect me to trust you now?"

"Yeah, I do. We're doing this all wrong. We survived everything, and for what? To keep fightin' and killin' each other? "

"If that's what it takes."

"Don't have to. I'm giving you a chance to save what's left of your family. And mine."

She stood there for a moment, before pushing her hair back, and speaking dramatically. "No more lies. Jenson!"

Sami shot the ground at Daryl's feet, and didn't feel too bad about the frightened look on his face, and the way he turned around so that Joel was a human shield, considering he was pretending he was Carver. Why didn't he feel bad? Sami was currently holding the gun wrong, using his left wrist instead of his left hand to steady it, since his finger was gone. So, maybe it was petty, but Sami didn't feel too bad.

"That was a warning!" Leah yelled, and Sami found satisfaction in the fact that she thought she was winning. "The last one. Everybody out!"

Grace and Maggie helped Elijah, who was limping, out to Daryl, Negan beside them. The group looked so small. So broken.

"Lower the knife, cut the rope!"

Daryl didn't do as she said.

"Jenson. the woman."

Obviously, Sami didn't do anything. And didn't have to, because Daryl then did as she said.

Joel walked over, slowly, and had a bit of freedom, even with the bag on his head. So, he turned to look at the sniper on the roof. He could see his brown coat. The top of his head.

Oh, that wasn't a reaper. Strangely enough, excitement bubbled in Joel's head.

He pulled off the bag. "Jenson, man on my left!"

As he said it, a bullet tore through the reaper on the left's leg, Sami responding almost instantly. And Leah ran to the man, as he fell on the ground, holding his body.

"Jenson, what the hell?!" She yelled through her walkie.

"Nah, just Sami Garrido with pest control. Heard about a bitch problem." His voice came through the walkie in her hand. "You two better back off, or your next."
