Y/n's pov

'Everything is going too smoothly to be good. I'm surprised that it's going as easy as it is.' You say as you turn on the movie in your house, Captain Yoo sitting on the couch next to you.

'Just relax. Sometimes, things are just as easy as it is.' He replies, pulling you closer to him by his arm.

'I hope so. But something still feels off.' You say, Captain Yoo only putting his finger over your lips and gesturing at the screen for you to focus on.

'This time, no falling asleep.' He responds, his eyes fixed on the movie starting to play in front of you. You feel your lips arch as he strokes your hair, the warmth as if to tell you everything will be fine.

Just as you are halfway through the film, your phone rings, and the ER shows up on the display. You excuse yourself, taking the call as you turn away from Captain Yoo looking toward you to answer the phone.

'Eo, Han gyo-soo (*professor), can you come now? There was a five-car accident just outside the hospital so things are looking difficult for the night.' You hear Dr. Park's voice from the other side, and you take the phone between your chin and your shoulder, reaching for your coat on the chair.

'I'll be there.' You reply, Dr. Park ending the call as you get into your coat again.

'You have to go?' Captain Yoo asks from the couch, and you nod.

'Sorry. There were multiple car accidents and the night shift staff are not enough to deal with the damages.' You explain apologetically, Captain Yoo nodding hesitantly from the couch.

'Save that for later, will you?' You ask him as he turns to the movie still playing, his head turning back to watch you get back ready with a mischievous smile.

'You want to watch the rest with me?' He asks back as you take your bag from the floor.

'I want to know what happens next too.' You reply, Captain Yoo swiftly pauses the movie before he stands up, walking closer to you.

'Save people.' He says, saluting at you and fixing your coat. He grins as he sees the corners of your lips move up, both of you moving to the door across the corridor.

'I'll see you tomorrow.' You reply, knowing that you will be overnight at the hospital once more.

Shi Jin's pov

'You didn't buy one for me?' I ask Sergeant Seo after we change out of our uniforms into a black suit to guard the second half of South and North Korean summit, waiting in the parking lot of the building.

'I did. But I already finished yours.' Sergeant Seo replies, chewing the chocolate in his hand. 'I broke up with Myung Joo so I need it.' He adds, and I frown at the news that I'm only hearing now.

'You did?' I ask, but before he replies, I feel my hand freeze, seeing Ahn Jung Joon from North Korea appear on the other side of the parking lot. I feel Sergeant Seo also stiffen next to me, staring at Ahn Sang-wi looking determined as he marches up to us.

'Why are you here.' I ask him as we both point our guns to his head, Ahn stopping with his hands up.

'I'm here because I think of you as my friend-'
