The two captive soldiers on the dusty ground behind bars look up at a man in a suit walking up to them, the two staring blankly at their former commander. The man crouches down in front of them, holding his phone in front of him.

'Why? It's already been eight months.' One of the soldiers asks quietly, his name embroidered over his uniform reading Yoo Shi Jin, the strings almost all having come off of the fabric. The wall behind them shows eight groups of different lines, seemingly the soldiers having scratched the walls with their bare nails to count the dates in this underground cell.

'Why?' The man says casually, the two soldiers unmoving at the words. 'Why not get paid twice?' The man replies, standing back up to turn the screen on his phone. The soldier forces himself up, gripping the bars as he glares at the man. The bar rattles loudly as his knuckles turn white, the back of the soldier's eyes turning red.

'Her father paid me for.."killing" you. No offense to you, Sergeant Seo, you just happened to be with him when everything happened. I didn't get paid to kill you.' The man says, unaffected by the soldier glaring as if to kill him through the dark rusty bars. The other soldier stands up, placing his hand on his shoulder in an attempt to calm him down.

'I mean, your little leech doctor seems to have figured it out. Finally. She took less time than I thought. Not as dumb as her brother described.' The man says again, holding up the business card of the doctor with her profile picture printed on top, furious tears forming in the soldier's eyes as he slams his fist into the metal bars.

'Captain.' The Sergeant calls quietly, gripping his arm with his knuckles starting to bleed.

'Just one single call. If she picks up and sends the money, I let you both go. If not, that'll be it for us.' The man says, dialing someone, possibly whoever the doctor they are talking about. The Sergeant pulls the Captian backward, into the shadow of the cell as the sound of connecting calls flows out from the phone.

'Too bad. I was hoping she picked up.' The man says as the phone disconnects from the person on the other side not answering after a few seconds, swiftly holding up a military gun from the ground and aiming at the Captain's head.

'You're not the Lieutenant I served. You're not a soldier.' The Captain says quietly, his eyes remaining unflinching despite the muzzle pointing at his forehead. The man doesn't waver, only placing his finger over the trigger, and pulling it back.

The gunshots rattle the cell, the gunpowder and dust going up, blocking the lens.

Mo Yeon's pov

'You're wrong, another car- the other car pushed her off of the bridge-' I yell at the police officers standing inside the police line, them and KCSI searching the Sung Soo Bridge over Han River. 'Check the security cameras.' I scream at the officer looking down at me with an irritated expression, fishing his arm out of mine as I grab onto them.

'We already did. That's the first thing we did. And Han-ssi clearly was drunk. Understood?' The detective says in an annoyed voice, furrowing his brows as I look at the others half standing there only pretending to look for something.

'That's not possible. I was there. I saw them kill her. And we didn't drink.' I snap at them, my voice starting to sound hoarse from the entire night feeling like a hallucination.
