Feb 6: Write a story with the words purple, lover and drowning
....It was funny.
I had never liked water. Of course we needed it to survive. I drank it, cooked with it... infact did almost everything with it.
I just didn't fancy the idea of floating-and very possibly sinking-at the centre of a vast body of water be it a lake, river, sea, ocean, swimming pool.
It has always been like that.
...until I was walking home one day after a long hike and I stopped at a river to get water because the one in my bottle was finished.
Yes, I was that desperate.
I knelt down and scooped water up with my palms.
As I leaned in to drink the water, I felt a presence behind me.
Suddenly, I was pushed.
I landed in the river with a splash and immediately started to struggle to get out. But as I struggled, I felt a cold hand press down on my neck and hold me firmly.
I sputtered and struggled harder but the person was much stronger than I was.
After a few seconds, I felt my lungs begin to burn.
So I was actually drowning.
When I thought my body would finally stop fighting and I was going to give up my very angered ghost, something weird happened.
I fell deeper into the river and disappeared.
I was very confused as I burst out of a river and found myself on the bank.
I panted and lay down to catch my breath.
It took a while before I noticed that my surroundings was different.
For starters, the ground was made of black sand, the water I just came out of was orange in colour and even scarier, the sky was purple.
I gazed around wearily, my vision a little blurry.
I thought I imagined a figure walking towards me and I shut my eyes, only to open them up and see some kind of creature staring down at me.
"Ahh!" I yelled and rolled away.
I rose to my knees and inched backwards. As I did, I studied the creature.
It was humanoid, with hands, legs, a torso and a head. But it's skin was entirely blue and its head was hairless, only possessing eyes and a slit-which was probably the mouth-at the lower end of its face.
"What's wrong?" it asked and tilted its head.
The voice sounded like it came from underneath the water...or like it was coming from my dream.
I pinched myself.
"Ow," I mummured and rose up slowly to my full height.
"Are you scared of me, my woman?"
I grimaced, "what? Did you just call me woman?"
I felt around my body frantically and my eyes widened in shock.
I was a man. I've always been one.
So...how did I become a woman?
"Come here my dear," the voice was now getting fainter as I became dizzier.
The creature started to walk towards me with its arm outstretched.
I ran backwards as best as I could but I was getting dizzier for some reason and I could hear sounds like someone yelling in the distance.
Splash.
I landed in the water and suddenly lost all control of my limbs.
What the hell was going on?
My eyes finally closed as I gave up and let the water take me.
I gasped and started to cough violently as I arose once more from a river.
Suddenly a streak flew out of me through my hands.
I struck the ground and smoke billowed from the dark patch that just formed from the ground.
I noticed I was taller and thinner...and full of energy.
I laughed aloud into the air feeling all the power course through my veins.
Strangely there was no one around.
"Hello?" I called out as I wandered along the river bank.
The leaves on the trees rustled as a really strong wind flew past.
I stumbled as I suddenly felt dizzy again.
"Oh no..." I mummured before I fell over sideways into the river once more.
"Peter!" Someone shook me violently and pushed them away from me dragged my hands over my face.
"Man, you okay? You almost drowned!" I sat up wearily and stared at the young man in front of me.
"Cmon let's go home." He pulled me up and we walked back to me house.
I realized everything was back to normal and I slept peacefully. Though, the next morning I set off way earlier than normal.
I was fascinated by my strange experiences. For some reason, I wanted to go back to that river and discover who my lover really is, I wanted to know more of the powers I had and the amazing things I could do with them.
I just hope it wasn't a dream.

There... your three words. I hope you're satisfied
And because it's incredibly vague, lemme summarise: the river is like a portal to different dimensions where he's different things in each one.
Must be exciting for him
