I pray for hope
I hope for answers
I pray for beautiful miracles
Things like water falling from an empty sky
Or plants growing from bare soil
And people being created from other people
I pray for things I'd never believe will be possible
Things like fishes with wings
Or plants that are carnivorous
And flies that produce light
Things like fireflies
Especially things like fireflies
Things that show up in the darkness when there's no flashlight
When there's so sunlight and no moonlight
When it seems like all hope is lost
Like all the light is gone
Things like fireflies
That suddenly appear and flutter around just to say
It could work out
There's still hope
It will be okay
In the end
