Feb 13: Write a story titled Stone cold
....Annabeth shivered but to her frustration, she couldn't wrap her hands around herself.
Her hands were still stretched outwards, the snowflakes and particles of ice creeping up her forearm slowly. Ironically, beads of sweat dripped down her face and she tried her best to remain calm and not cry.
Her heart beat even even more rapidly when the trail of ice snaked to her upper arm and finally her shoulders.
It was barely a whisper that left her mouth when the ice blanketed her althrough. She fell unconscious and the film of ice suddenly vanished as she landed on her bed.

A strong chilly wind whipped through my light clothing and ruffled my hair. I slid backwards but I planted my feet firmly on the ground to stop myself from falling. Still, a stronger, even more bitter breeze flew past and knocked me off my feet.
I landed on a white, fluffy material and lay there for a moment before I turned over. The crystals of the snow flakes sparkled in my eye as I got a closer view and I watched as little particles of it rose and twirled in the air as even more winds flew by howled as they did.
I struggled to get up and once I was on my feet I turned round slowly. I wrapped my hands around myself as another wind flew by and trudged into the vast white nothingness ahead of me.
The ground was covered entirely in snow and when I looked up at the sky, all I could see was white patches of clouds drifting to and fro under a stark white background. How I saw the clouds was even a mystery to me.
Strangely, although I felt really cold and was shivering terribly, I was doing better than an average human would do in these conditions. My baggy t-shirt and shorts couldn't possibly protect me from the frostbite I should've gotten moments ago.
I shielded my face as I walked off into the distance. The farther I went, the windier it became but somehow, I managed to push through.
After what seemed like an hour, I stopped walking after I realised that I wasn't going anywhere. But fear gripped me as I suddenly realized that I would be stuck in this world forever if I couldn't find a way to get back.
What was this place anyway?
I took two more steps forward and suddenly, I was falling.
I landed on a hard ground and I groaned from the throbbing pain in my head. I tried to stand up but I slipped and fell again, landing on my back.
It was dark all around me but as I slid my hands over the floor, I recognized it was ice. I looked above me but I didn't catch a sliver of light.
I sighed and tried not to panic when breathing became harder than usual. The parts of my body that were on the ground was starting to get numb too so I got up.
I stood shivering in the darkess for a while, looking upwards hopefully until I finally gave up and started to cry.

“Annabeth!”
I could feel my body being shaken.
My real body.
I could see my room and myself as I lay on my bed but I was still stuck in the icy world. My parents and siblings surrounded my bed and my dad was shaking me violently.
“She's not asleep?” my mom asked, worry in her voice.
My dad couldn't look anyone in the eye.
“Her body's so cold…” He shook his head.No no no no no...
They think I'm dead?!
Well I am technically…
The faint sobs finally turned into loud wailing and I stood there watching everyone solemnly, unable to do anything.
“Guys!!!” I yelled but nothing happened. It was just me screaming from the darkness.
I watched in horror as my dad called 911 and my mother paced my room.
My siblings sat on the ground, staring off into space as tears streamed down their faces.***
I was literally inside a coffin and I felt myself being lowered into the ground slowly. My body shook as the box finally landed on the ground. After a while everywhere was quiet.
I'd been in the terrifying ice hole for a long time but I was still fine, much to my annoyance. It was scary and claustrophobic and cold…
I was taken to the hospital and the doctor said that he couldn't find anything that went wrong with my body but all my organs just stopped working for some reason, like they were frozen.
I couldn't even remember my family's reaction to the whole thing and I didn't even want to. It was a horrible feeling, being alive but dead at the same time.
…or was I dead?
I'd been lying on the ice floor for a long time so I got numb and couldn't feel anything but I sat up instantly when I felt a jolt of electricity run through my body.
My hands began to spark with blue light and I balled them up to fists in a failed attempt to make it stop. The sparks got bigger and brighter and I couldn't do anything to stop it
Boom
The coffin burst open and everyone around the grave began to scream and run helter-skelter.
I was back! I suddenly realized. My spirit wasn't in an empty ice hole anymore and my body was alive.
I passed out but woke up later on a hospital bed with a few people staring down at me.
I titled my head, “uncle Mark?”
