Madeline's POV
Leah's last question from the day before was still circling around in my mind. I never really thought of girls like that before, but then again the idea didn't disgust me in even the slightest way. All these thoughts were rushing through my head as i was getting ready to leave for training.
It was Monday.
~
Alessia picked me up this morning.
"So, how did it go?" Alessia had asked me as soon as i put my seatbelt on.
"The coffee?" i turned to alessia raising an eyebrow at her.
"Yeah, with leah." she said.
"It went well...we talked and..had coffee." i put a smile on my face nodding at alessia.
Alessia scoffed. "What about exactly is what i'm trying to figure out.." alessia tried asking.
"About me. It was mostly about me..we did however have an awkward conversation about past relationships.." I laughed as i said that last part. "Other than that, we had some decent conversations..no staring or snarkiness" I smiled at the blond.
"Good, we want you two to be friends, not enemies" alessia smiled at me
After the drive to the training grounds, we arrived after a couple of minutes.
~
In the middle of training, leah walked onto the pitch. I didn't know if she regularly had to join us or if it was voluntarily. As we were doing some drills, Jonas had called me over.
He was standing on the side of the pitch, next to leah.
"Hey." i said after running over to both of them.
"Hey Madeline, you met leah right?" jonas pointed at the blond defender standing next to him.
"Yeah, of course." you nodded, sending a smile to leah who was standing there quietly with her hands behind her back.
"Okay, i think you two should stay after, if you don't mind because training is about to end anyways. I want Leah to give you some tips, since your position is defense. I think there is some few tricks leah could teach you, she's one of the best" Jonas nodded at leah.
"Yeah, of course i can stay after." i smiled at jonas.
"Okay, you can start now if you want." Jonas looked at leah as he walked away.
Leah then walked closer to me. "Okay then, i guess i just talk now.." leah nodded looking around as the girls were going in now.
"I'm all ears, anything to help me improve.." I nodded at the blond as we started walking around the pitch.
"Okay, first thing i'd recommend is patience. As a defender you have to be patient, if an attacker is trying to score you don't want to dive in. That's what they'll want you to do. Second, be on your toes, don't stand there you want to be moving at all time. Third, focus on the ball. Not on the person in front of you trying to score, the ball. As a defender you have to be fast you know? So if you think you could work on your speed more by all means do it. I've seen you run though, i think you are very fast." leah said to me as we had made it to the middle of the pitch.
