Chapter 13 - Family

Madeline's POV

I decided to give him a call, hopefully he wasn't busy. 

The phone was ringing, so it was still his number.

'Hello?'

I wanted to hang up but hearing his voice made me so happy, it had been months since i've last spoken to him.

'Charles?'

'Madeline?' 

'How have you been? It's been so long since i've last heard your voice..'

'I've been good..and i know i missed hearing you..'

"I uh....i heard you moved to England?'

'Uh yeah..i'm playing for arsenal now..'

'Arsenal?..Wow' 

'Yeah..'

'That's a big deal..' charles chuckled.

'I know...it's pretty crazy to think about, but the girls have been very welcoming and they said i've been playing pretty well.'

'I am honestly so proud of you Madeline, you've wanted to do this for so long and now look at you.'

'Thank you Char...i called to see how you're doing..i miss you so much.'

'I'm actually doing really good..Clarissa is actually carrying..'

My mouth fell open, i knew it was bound to happen at some point in my life, but hearing my older brother say it made me so happy for him.

'Oh my god...Congratulations, i am so happy for you..'

'Thank you..when he's born...i'd really love for you to meet him.'

'He? It's a boy?'

'Yeah, we found out a few weeks ago.'

'I am so teaching him how to play soccer..' 

'You better." charles chuckled, so did I. It went silent after that for a couple of seconds before I broke it.

'So have you talked to mom or dad?'

'No. Have you?'

'Not since i left..'

'Hmm..'

It went silent again. I didn't know what to say anymore.

'I uh...got something to ask you.'

My heart sank to my ass, i don't know why but i got this rush of anxiety going throughout all of my body.

'Yes?'

'Have you met a certain someone in England?'
