Chapter 6 - Unusual Thoughts

Madeline's POV

I hear my alarm go off, it was the morning after katie's little celebration party. I couldn't sleep for shit. Everything that happened the night before was going through my head. It was like a scene out of a movie and every clip kept replaying in order. 

Me walking into the bathroom, Leah coming from behind me, Leah saying what she said in that tone. I didn't like it one bit. Then Alessia walking in on whatever was happening. Alessia knew something had happened, she knew i wasn't gonna tell her then and there. But she knows at some point i will want to tell someone. I, myself don't even know who to tell, If i told El, she might think of me differently. If i tell Alessia, maybe it'll affect the way she acts around leah. 

Maybe i should give that girl a call. I looked for the sticky note i had placed on my mirror the day i came home from coffee with leah, and i dialed it. It was ringing for a few seconds, then i heard someone pick up.

"Hello?" 

"Uh, hi- hello...i don't know if you remember me? From a few days ago, i went by the coffee shop and you gave me your number?" 

"Oh right! Hey how are you?" 

"I'm good, i was actually gonna ask if you'd want to get lunch or something, i could use more friends around here.."

"Of course, i'm off from work at 12, does 3 pm sound good for you?" 

"Yeah, of course." 

"Okay send me your address, i'll pick you up."

"Okay, see you soon."

"Bye bye"

The call ended, i sent her my address which probably wasn't a good idea since i didn't know her well. Maybe leah was right. Maybee this girl just wanted something out of me, maybe she recognized leah and wants to get close so she can have a chance of meeting them.

Soon camee 3 pm, i heard my phone go off. It was a notification from the girl. I didn't even know her name and she was taking me somewhere. 

As soon as i walked out, i saw this car in front of my house. The girl rolled down the window and waved at me. I walked over to the passenger side and got in. 

"Hey!" the girl said with an enthusiastic tone. Maybe she wasn't meant to be my friend. But that's what all of this was, just friends going out for lunch, i had made that clear on the phone call. 

"Hey, so where are we going?" i asked her as she started driving.

"There's this small little cafe, they have everything.." she said turning away from my street and getting on the main road.

"So i never got your name?" i said turning to the girl. 

"Oh right! Sorry, i'm lauren" she turned to me and smiled. 

"Lauren, i'm Madeline.." i smiled at the girl as well.

"Nice name.." she complimented me.
