Chapter 58 - Cowgirls

Leah's POV

"Who's Blaze?" i asked.

"Just wait..."

"Madeline-"

"Leah, be patient.." madeline reached over and took the bagel out of my hand. 

"My bagel..." i said as she bit down into it. 

"I wonder what room charles left us..." madeline said driving down the path, we kept getting closer to the house which kept getting bigger.

"The house looks quite- big." i pointed out. "And no one lives here?" i asked.

"Yeah, i think nobody wants to because it's quite hard." madeline said. "The nearest town is back to where buc-ee's was...and the nearest city is huntsville which is still a good 25 minutes...lots of gas to waste." 

"Hmm...so who does live out here..." i looked around. 

"People...weird people." madeline almost laughed as she said that. "Just people who like to have their own property." she said.

Madeline's POV

We made it to the house finally after following the path, we were in the car pulling up to charles car next to the house. I looked over to leah and smiled.

"We're here." i said taking my seatbelt off. Leah did as well and stepped out of the car, i got out of the car and looked up at the house. "It looks bigger from here than from over there- but the inside is better and more...taken care of." i told leah. 

We heard the front door open and shut really loudly. 

"You're here." charles said coming around the corner.

"Charles." i said and ran to him, i hugged him and he wrapped his arms around me. 

"Leah, Welcome.." charles said pulling leah into the hug as well. "I'm so glad you guys came- i know it was last minute...but even the party was last minute, Clarissa and I wanted to do it with our family since we did it with her family back in spain..." charles smiled at us both. We pulled away and listened to him.

"So..what exactly is this party for..." i asked him.

"Our Anniversary." charles smiled down at me. "You guys go to your room, i'll get your suitcases. Clarissa is inside as well, if you want to say hi to her..." charles said walking over to the rental car. 

"We'll go say hi first, then go to our rooms." i said waving for leah to come with me. Leah followed me inside the house, we walked in and the house was silent. "Hello?" i said walking in a bit more. 

"Madeline." i heard a familiar voice say, clarissa walked out of the living room. "Oh my god- i've missed you so much.." she walked over to me and spread her arms out, i smiled and walked over to wrap my arms around her. "How have you two been?" clarissa pulled away and walked over to leah.

"We've been good...lots of traveling in the past few weeks." leah said smiling at clarissa.

"Yeah, i watched you play..." clarissa told leah.
