Leah's POV

I pushed her away, before anything happened. Before my face got even closer to hers,  before my face made any contact with her. I blinked when i pushed her, i saw hailey's back lightly hit the wall behind her. She looked up at me looking shocked, i shook my head in confusion.

"I'm-" hailey stopped herself and looked around.

"What- were you thinking? What were you even trying to do?" i asked her.

Hailey looked even more lost than i did, she looked up at me as if she wasn't trying kiss me 10 seconds ago.

"I'm sorry-"

"I need to go." i said shaking my head and turning away from her.

"Leah." hailey called out to me. I turned to look at her and stopped. "She's not good for you....if she's making you cry.." hailey said. What did she know?

"You don't know anything..." i said.

"I'm really sorry about- what i tried to do..." hailey stumbled walking over to me. "...i just don't like seeing you upset- especially not over her." hailey said.

Seeing her stumble over to me sobered me up real quick, i sighed and rubbed my forehead.

"Are you drunk?" i looked over at her.

"No.." she whispered and shook her head.

I knew hailey, she was a lightweight and it was late in the night she had obviously had drinks. She was also good at hiding it, when she would get drunk. But i could tell by the stumbling. I couldn't let her drive home, let alone walk out alone.

"Who did you come here with?" i asked her.

"Kacy." hailey said closing her eyes as she laid against the wall.

"Okay, let's get you home...you've had enough of tonight." i said waving her over to me. She slowly walked over to me, i grabbed her arm and led her to the front door. We walked over to my car, i helped her into the backseat then i went into the driver's seat. I started the car and began driving to her house.

"Can you text your friend and tell her i'm taking you home?.." i looked at her through the car mirror. I saw her slowly get her phone out, the light lit up her face and she instantly turned it down. I saw her fingers tapping the screen, she shut it down after a few seconds.

"There.." she said.

I sighed and kept driving to her house, a lot was going through my mind. What was she thinking? Yeah, i was single but i didn't want to kiss her. Especially when i was visibly upset, i don't even know why i was crying. Madeline and I are on good terms, not together, but we're also not mad or upset with each other. Things were good between us.

After a few minutes of driving, i made it to hailey's house. I looked at her through the mirror again as i parked in front of her apartment.

"Are you good to go?" i said, she unbuckled her seatbelt and nodded at me.

"Thank you." hailey said as she exited my car.
