Chapter 24 - Surprises

Madeline's POV

Leah had driven to this little jewelry store, i could see the inside from the outside through the glass doors. I looked over at leah but didn't say anything, we got out of the car and leah walked over to my side and held my hand as wee started walking.

"What are we doing here?" i asked as leah opened the door for me. I looked around, it all looked too...expensive.

"I was looking around the other day...and i found something i wanted to buy you." leah took my hand and lead me to the back of the store. We walked up to necklace section, i followed leah as she made her way to this specific necklace. I looked over her shoulder and i could see a necklace with a little 'L' initial hanging from it. "Here it is." leah said smiling at me. "Do you like it?" leah asked me. 

"Yeah...it's really pretty..but i can't accept that." i said. 

"And why not?" leah turned to me and asked. 

"Because it's...expensive...i don't want you spending all that money on me, i'm perfectly happy with just you."

"Let me spoil you, you're my girlfriend.." leah gave my hand a squeeze.

"Okay, but i want you to know that i really am grateful for it.." i smiled and squeezed her hand back. "Seriously.." 

"I believe you...you don't look spoiled, that's why i want to treat you." leah smiled at me. 

Leah bought the necklace for me and then right after put it on me.

"How does it feel?" leah asked looking at the necklace on my neck. 

"I love it...it feels good." i said 

"Good.." leah smiled. "Come on now, mum's probably waiting." she patted my back gently.

"I forgot to ask...who else is gonna be there?" leah grabbed my hand and walked towards the exit. 

"Just mum, and jacob most likely if he isn't with Eleonor today..."

"I think El told me they were going to watch a movie then eat out or something.." i walked out of the store with leah and then stood out there for a second. 

"Then it'll just be mum." leah said. 

"Okay good.." i nodded. 

"Yeah don't you worry your little brain.." leah smiled and patted my head. I rolled my eyes and walked over to the passenger side getting in. I looked over at leah as she got in. It felt nice having someone buying me stuff, but i didn't want her to think i was using her for money. I didn't think that would cross her mind but i felt like i needed to give her something back.

I had that in mind.

I didn't realize it but i had leaned against the car window and fallen asleep, i felt the car stop and opened my eyes. One side of my head hurt and felt sore. I groaned and stretched my arms out. 

"Are we here?" i asked. 

"Yeah.." 

"That was a long car ride.." i said looking outside.
