Chapter 16 - Friends & Jealousy

Madeline's POV

It was the day after we came back to England from Spain, it was Sunday. Leah had dropped me off at my house the day before, and ever since then we haven't talked. I didn't expect her to talk to me all the time, but i was tired anyway and i had the house to myself so i didn't mind. 

It was late in the day, about 4 pm when i got a text from leah.

Text Messages

Leah: Hey, how are you?

Madeline: I'm good, got to rest today.

Madeline: How about you?

Leah: Good, i'm good as well.

Leah: Are you doing anything tomorrow?

Madeline: Not really, i don't have anything planned

Leah: My friends invited me over to their place for lunch tomorrow.

Leah: Would you want to come with me by any chance?

Madeline: Sure, if you're okay with that?

Leah: Of course i'm okay with it. 

Leah: Dress casually, i'll pick you up at 2pm.

Madeline: Okay see you then.

I wasn't sure if leah meant her 'football' friends or her normal friends. I just took it to be her normal friends, if it were some of the arsenal girls she would've mentioned it. Besides most of them went back home to their families. Either way i wasn't as nervous as i was when i had to meet her family. I still wanted her friends to like me though.

It was the next day, Monday. It was about 12, knowing myself i had to start getting ready. I started off with some light makeup nothing too much. Leah had said casual after all. 

I then moved onto outfit. I decided on some mid rise wide leg jeans along with a simple grey long sleeve top that slightly showed some skin around my stomach area. And at the end i just put some white sneakers on.

I moved onto my hair, i just let it down and brushed through it. 

By the time i was done, it was close to 2. I heard leah text me. 

I lastly quickly sprayed some perfume on me and grabbed my jacket walking out of the house. I saw hr car up front, i walked over to the passenger seat.

"Hey you." leah said as i put my seatbelt on. 

"Hey, you look good.." i looked over at leah who had this black button up who was half unbuttoned with these black pants as well. She looked so good in all black.

"I can say the same about you.." leah smiled at me before starting to drive. 

"So who's house are we going to exactly?" i asked.
