Leah's POV

~

Phone Call

'Why didn't you say it back?'

My heart stopped when madeline stayed quiet, so many thoughts rushed to my mind but i didn't want to jump to conclusions.

'Leah, my brain is everywhere right now. I just got my period in this random airport, and all i want to do is go home. I'm sorry i didn't say it back.'

'It's- It's fine don't worry...but are you okay?'

'I am okay Leah.'

Madeline seemed so...not herself.

'Okay...'

'Listen, i have to go these cramps are killing me- they're worse now...'

'Okay, have a safe flight, text me when you land...'

'I will...'

Phone Call Ended

~

I heard my hotel room door open, i looked over to see keira walking out of the room and over towards me.

"Everything alright?" keira asked me.

"Yeah...No actually, no." i shook my head and looked down to turn my phone off.

"What happened? You left me in there with Lucy." keira said folding her arms.

"Madeline called me..." i said looking at her.

"I saw that.." keira nodded.

"But she...she sounded weird....like not herself." i sighed.

Keira stared at me and she began nodding her head slowly, i feel like she knew what i was thinking.

"What are you thinking? And what exactly do you mean about weird?" keira asked me.

"I don't know kei...she said she..." i paused for a little bit. "It's that time of month for her you know...and i don't know if it's that...or if..."

"Leah don't." keira cut me off.

"But-"

"Don't think like that...like you said, she's probably acting different because of her hormones, maybe they're making her act a certain way..." keira shrugged. "Not everyone is the same. A lot of girls need space and...i don't know but don't overthink it. You'll see her tomorrow, you'll talk it out." keira told me.

"You're right..." i shook my head. "I don't- I don't know what i was thinking..."

"I'll see you tomorrow before we all leave?" keira said.

"Yeah...goodnight."

It was the next day, we were barely leaving St. George's Park. I had gotten a text from madeline finally. I felt a rush of relief as soon as i saw her name pop up on my phone.
